My Effexor weight gain!

by Trying2Smile, Nov 05, 2007 11:12AM
I have been on Effexor for about 2 years. I have gained 25 pounds. I have never in my life had a weight problem, was actually considered thin. I never knew weight gain could be a side effect until recently. I was wondering what I was doing because I don't feel like my eating habits have gotten that much worse, maybe a little. Seems so difficult now to lose the weight. My depression has been better, but now the weight gain is really causing problems for me. Lower self esteem, I look in the mirror and do not like what I see, very frustrated. I would actually like to try to get off of my meds now. Not sure if it's the best idea, but I don't even feel good heavier. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions?????
