Hi Beckyt!  I was wondering how your moms progress is going with the Novarel Shots?  In chatting with savchan it seems the regimen really works..

Thanks.

She has lost 27 pounds and feels great.  She has been able to go off of her blood pressure meds.  I am still trying to find a clinic closer to me.  The closest is 5 hours away.  I wish someone knew of a place.

by BeckyT, Jan 09, 2006 12:00AM
I meant to put in 37 lbs.  Sorry about the error.  She doesn't have any loose skin like you see in people who lose weight too fast.  I attribute that to the shots.  she looks great.  Only 13 more pounds to go.

What is the Noveral Shot and how does it work ?

by redynamite, Jan 12, 2006 12:00AM
WOW!  37lbs.. how long did it take her to lose this much weight?  Is she injecting Noveral everyday or weekly?  Thanks so much for the update.  I'm sorry about you not finding any luck with a clinc closer to you.. but I believe you may be able to speak with your OBGYN.  Someone else on this forum(savchan) stated she gets her shots through her OBGYN.

Good Luck!!!!!

There is an amazing physician in Morganton NC, who has a weight loss program an the results are amazing.  Dr. Diaa Hussein.

by BeckyT, Jan 14, 2006 12:00AM
Novarel is the name of the hCG shot she is taking.  She takes it on Thursday and Sunday mornings.  She has been with the program for three months.  I have an appointment in Florida on Monday at 8:30.  They say they have a mail out program.  I will let you know how it goes.  I'm excited and relieved.

BeckyT can you tell me more about the "mail out" program you referred to?  Sounds like this has been a successful program and I'm curious.  thanks.

I went to Transformations in Lake Mary, FL on Monday morning.  I have lost 7.2 lbs. as of yesterday afternoon.  The shots are easy to give myself and practically painless.  The appetite suppressant gave me headaches for two days but that has past and I feel great.  I take a multivitamin, chromium, and a calcium tablet.  This is by choice and they sell these vitamins at their clinic.  The vitamins and calcium are $2.50 for a 30 day supply and the chromium is $5 for 150 capsules.  My goal is to lose 60 pounds but the doctor thinks that 40-45 is plenty.  I saw a nutritionist and she gave me a diet to follow.  I can only have 800 calories a day, however, the hcg is using up 2000 calories of stored fat each day.  I have only been hungry once and that was when I went out to eat with my family.  I maintained my willpower and only had 1 french fry.  I drink 64oz. of water a day which is pretty easy since they gave me this cool water bottle.  I am so glad that I took the time to travel there.  I have to have my weight and blood pressure taken by my doctor every two weeks and then mail those results to Transformations to receive more meds.  So far I recommend this to everyone!

I have lost a total of 10 pounds in two weeks. I have started walking today. Hopefully this will allow me to lose weight faster. I haven't been in the 170's since before I got pregnant with my fourth child. The shots are still easy to take and the diet is still reasonable. I think I may need a stronger appetite suppressant. I get a little hungry around dinner time. I miss my coffee and tend to dream about my single cup I am allowed each day. However, I make the most of it. I get the kids settled, surround my favorite chair with cushions and my hot cup of Joe, grab my bible and I am ready to go. My husband measured me the other day and I am 5 inches smaller. I could really tell the difference in my jeans. I am really praying that God will help me through this journey. The bible says to have no other gods before me and I admit that I had several, food being one of them.  I was also putting myself ahead of God. My reasoning was that I couldn't do the things He needed me to do if I wasn't healthy. I failed to seek good health through Him. My next goal, by the grace of God, is 3 pounds. Hopefully I can reach this and go even farther.

Congratulations on your first 10lbs.  Keep up the great work and positive inspiration!!!

by BeckyT, Feb 06, 2006 12:00AM
Well, I almost reached my goal of 3 pounds by Friday. I did however lose a total of 4 inches. So right now I am 9 inches smaller and 12 and a half pounds lighter. I think that is pretty good considering I have only been dieting for 18 days. I have gotten used to the entire "eating healthier" routine.  I am following a walking program called "Walk Away The Pounds," by Leslie Sansone. I am on my second week and am feeling physically renewed. This is a great motivating program to get anyone started with low impact exercise. My goal for this week is 3 pounds. I think I can do it if my family will stop offering me food. They are continually giving me candy and drinks. I am being strong and telling them NO! I haven't had a soda in 3 weeks and I truly do not miss it. I do, however, get the munchies for donuts and Reese Cups. Hopefully I can get those delicious treats off my mind long enough to reach my goal and maybeeeeeee.... get a treat.  I'll just have to pray myself through the temptation.

Wow, it sure was hard to resist the candy and sweets on Valentines Day. I actually ate a lot more than I should have. I was so worried about going in for my weigh-in today, but I was pleasantly surprized when the scale read 169. I haven't weighed in the 160's in 4 years. Today marks my 1 month anniversary for starting my diet. I have lost a total of 19 pounds. I forgot to have my husband measure me this morning so I am not sure about inches, but I do know that my size 14 pants are falling off of me and my size 12's are a little loose. I am sooo excited. I have actually taken this entire weight loss program to the cross and left it in God's hands. He sure has rewarded me for trusting in Him. My new goal for my next weigh-in(next Thursday) is 165. Surely I can loose another 4 pounds. I only have 3 more weeks of shots and then I am off the meds for 3 weeks before I can start another 8 week round. I hope to not have to do more than 1 more round of meds. It is a little expensive and I am ready to be at my goal weight. Talk to you soon!

Congrats on your success!! It's a great feeling to loose weight and gain confidence. I've been asking about the dosage of hcg and can't seem to find any answers. Some people are taking 35IU and others are taking 125IU, and the shots vary from one day to 3 - 5 times weekly. Any information on this or what dosage your success was on would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

by BeckyT, Feb 17, 2006 12:00AM
125u - .5cc 5 days a week for 8 weeks.  I actually mix it and draw up the shots myself.  It comes in powder form with a bottle of a sterile liquid.

by RhondaNC, Feb 19, 2006 12:00AM
Hello I have been doing the shots since 1/20 and lost 12lb and 3 inches. I do my shots twice a week and work out 3 days for 60 minutes.I live in Morganton NC but attend a clinic in Hickory NC.

by BeckyT, Feb 25, 2006 12:00AM
WOW!!! What a week. Twenty-two pounds lost, as well as sixteen and a half inches. My size 12 pants are dangerously loose. I was one pound short of my goal. However, the girl scout cookies came in last weekend and I still managed to lose weight. I know you are wondering why I even bought cookies. I am a Junior Girl Scout Leader. My Daughter sold cookies and of course I had to support her. My mouth waters at the mention of Samoas(a.k.a. Carmel Delights).  So I am weighing in at 166. I am going to set a new goal of 4 pounds by next Friday, March 3rd. Hopefully I can kick my cookie habit. Boy, doesn't 162 sound good? I think the reason that I still lost weight is because when I snacked on cookies I cut the calories at my next meal. This isn't a healthy habit, but if I don't do it too often then maybe I can still maintain, be healthy, and stay on my diet.  In the mean time I am going to fight my cravings for Samoas, Tag-a-Longs, and Cafe Cookies (a.k.a. Carmel Delights, Peanut Butter Patties, and Cafe Cookies{Yummy, I think they are new. These are really great with coffee.}).

WOW!!! PTL!!! I made my goal loss of 4 pounds this week. I weighed in at 162. I cannot wait to be able to not have to put the 150 weight on the bar when they are weighing me. I cannot remember the last time that happened. It had to have been more than 10 years ago. I really had to fight the cravings for girl scout cookies, but I think I am finally sick of them. I had a binging spell on Tuesday and ate 10 Samoas. That is over 1000 calories and 40 grams of fat. I went and rode my bike while pulling a trailer carrying my 2 year old and 9 month old. I rode a total of 5 and a half miles. I must have worked off those calories because I had lost 2 pounds the next morning.  I am setting a new goal of 3 pounds by Next Friday, March 10th. I cannot "weight" to weigh in the 150's. This will also be my last week of the hcg shots. I am going off of them for three weeks because my body is getting used to them. I am not really sure what kind of supplement they will have me on but I will let you know. I would like to be 150 by the time I start another cycle of shots. I guess I will just have to pray about it. I know that each time I feel like my weight loss is stagnant, if I pray about it and leave it at the cross God takes care of it.  We have been having really warm weather lately and I went to put on a pair of shorts and I couldn't keep them up. They are all 16's. I don't even have a belt that will fit. I tried on a pair of 10's at Goody's the other day and they fit perfectly. I haven't worn a 10 in 8 years. I can't believe the success I am having.  I encourage anyone who is wanting to lose weight to go to transformationsmedicalweightloss.com. If you decide to do the program tell them that Becky T from Georgia sent you. I will get a discount on my next purchase of meds.  Talk to you soon.

Hello, My name is Misty and I came across your blog, via Google.com  I am 29 years old and interested in losing a lot of weight.  I need to lose over a hundred pounds and I know a couple of people who have gone to Transformations.  Each of those people have a totally different point of view about the diet.
I think I would be successful if I joined in.  I am married, but we don't have children yet.  That's one of the big issues with us too.  We want children, but I'm too over-weight to bare them.  Do you think the diet @ transformations is too expensive?
I need all the help and guidance that I can get.
Thank you for your attention.  Have a pleasant day.  Misty

by BeckyT, Apr 03, 2006 12:00AM
I feel that it is worth the cost.  I am back on Phase 1 of the diet.  I just started today.  I only gained 3 pounds over the three week Phase 2 part of the program.  I probably wouldn't have gained those three pounds if my daughter hadn't been selling girl scout cookies and then driving back home to NC for spring break.  I was also in the hospital with my baby again.  He had strep throat and scarlet fever.  It is almost impossible to eat healthy under those circumstances.  However, to answer your question, I pay $195 a month for meds.  This includes 4 weeks worth of shots and 4 weeks worth of appetite supressants.  It also includes shipping.  I have lost a total of 26 pounds and 22+ inches.  Not to mention the self confidance that I have gained by not only looking and feeling better, but also for having succeeded at something so difficult to acheive.  I think you should try it and after your first month you will be convinced that the results are priceless.  I can't wait to start seeing results again.  Eating healthy is hard work at first but if you are really motivated and committed you will be successful.  Good luck! If you go to Transformations tell them that Becky T from GA sent you!!! :<)    <><

Good luck.

Hi Becky!  Your stories are awesome.  I just started Transformations 2 days ago.  I am on the hcg and phendimetrezine.  I am having a difficult time following the diet plan--I hate all the fat free foods (the taste is unbearable), I only like 2 of the veggies on the list, and it basically allows either a baked potato for lunch or 1/2 cup of pasta (is this a joke)? What is your typical menu throughout the day?  I thought the diet would have more protein but the only protein you're allowed is 4 1/2 oz. at dinner--and most of that is from seafood.  I want this to work but I need more diet options!!!  Any help is appreciated.

by BeckyT, Apr 17, 2006 12:00AM
Hey!  Good luck!  I only like two veggies on this list as well.  I am a very picky eater.  The fat free cheese is gross unless it is melted on the english muffin and egg.  You can have up to 6 egg whites or 2 whole eggs a week.

My typical diet is basically as follows:

Breakfast:  1/2 cup of Special K, skim milk and a banana
                            or
whole wheat lite english muffin, 1 fried egg white, and 1 slice of fat free cheese, piece of fruit
                            or
Sometimes I just have 2 slices of whole wheat lite bread toasted with Polaner all fruit jelly and 1/2 a glass of skim milk and a piece of fruit.

Lunch:  this is my least favorite meal

1/2 a sliced cucumber, 1/2 a cup of pintos or black-eye peas, and a glass of skim milk
                            or
whole wheat lite english muffin, 1 fried egg white, and 1 slice of fat free cheese if I didn't have it for breakfast

Dinner:

grilled chicken breast or baked, 1/2 baked potato, green beans
                             or
baked fish, cucumbers, and brown rice

Snacks:  fruit in the a.m. and fruit and fat free yogurt it the p.m.

I do not eat after dinner!

I hope this helps.  I know that it isn't a lot of variety but it works.  It is a hard diet for picky eaters.

Good Luck!!!

my doctors office said to give the shots in the stomach below the belly button.you have probably figured this out by now since it is 3 months after your post, but just in case you hadn't had an answer.
