I had a mastectomyMastectomy Mastectomy - series at age 33. Cancer free since then. At age 36 my ovaries were removed (my two ovaries were removed due to benignBenign ear cyst or tumor Benign positional vertigo cyst and history of breast cancer, and I think it was also due to side effects of the tamoxifenTamoxifen Tamoxifen citrate …)
I am looking to loose weight using hCG, any comments on this? Do any of you have a similar medical history and is using or have used hCG? Any suggestions?
I heard both that with a history of breast cancer I should not consider hCG, but also heard from that his hormone should not harm.
HELP!!!!!
Hi, I do not have a similar medicat hx, but I can tell you that I have some health problems (liver) that I now find will prevent me from taking hCG till they are fixed (if they can be). I am VERY disappointed. I would talk to your oncologist...not your PCP, and perhaps your OB/GYN 1st. There are other options that work, but not the same way. I am doing a B12/B6 shot, AdipexAdipex-p (phen) 1200 calorie diet.
Thank you for your responses. Unfortunately my oncologist does not believe in alternative medicine and even less in hCG. So, the response so far from every doctor I have seen is not to use hCG for weight loss, even if i did not have the health history I have.
I just want to make a balance decision. Again, thank you for your comments.
If you know of any open mind doctors in the Seattle or Northwest area, please let me know.
My advice would be to look up an alternative health practitioner in your local directory and see what it comes up with. If you find one, you possibly could just ask the question over the phone instead of having to go in. Good luck!
My diet doc was talking about people who shouldn't use hCG in a general sense, and she mentioned "for example, like people with cancers which are affected by hormones." I do not know if brwast cancer (or some types of it) are stimulated by hormones, but I do know that some other cancers are. If you cannot talk to your own doctor about this, try searching for an oncologist or OB/Gyn who is involved in complementary/alternative medicine as well, as they tend to be more open minded about things. I would NOT rely on your own research on this question, or a doctor who is not involved in cancer treatment. If the answer is no, just be safe. There are other alternatives. For example, I alternate hCG weeks with cAMP, and both shots have vitamin B in them. My doc mentioned a cancer patient who uses only the cAMP and not the hCG.
There is a clinic in Tacoma and a new one opening in Seattle who do the hcg shots. Their website is ****.com. I am not sure what they say about taking it with your history, but their phone number is on the website and you could call and ask them.
By the way....I read an article recently on the Mayo Clinic Website that they think women who have Breast Cancer are deficient in B12. The Article was graded as a "C" (like in school A-F). If I can find the article again, I'll post it on this thread.
Good luck!
V.
