hi there
did you find out any further info on the hcg oral alternative?

by going4thin, Jul 18, 2007 10:15PM
I bought it not really realizing what it was.   It's 2 types of pills you take before every meal and follow  the Simeon diet plan.   I did great on it, losing 20 lbs in just over a month.  HOWEVER, it's not HCG so I wonder what the long term effects would be.  HCG is supposed to really sculpt your body by pulling fat out of stubborn areas rather than gonig first to the structural fat.  Orathin is HERBS etc.  so I don't knwo that it will do the same thing.

About the time I was finishing the bottle I saw that a doc in my area had just started prscribing the Releana liquid (oral) HCG.  So, I have been doing that.  I"ve lost 22.5 lbs in just over a month, with a huge cheat day that set me back or I'd have lost more!   Releana is a liquid you put under your tongue twice a day.  It's very easy.   releana, com  BTW, since losing the weight I"m starting to have more of an hourglass figure and I'm not losing too much in my boobs.  In the past I've always lost from the neck down....boobs went, but stayed!   It's much more even now.

Please feel free to ask me any questions.  I'll do my best to answer them.

Where did you get the Releana, is it prescribed or can I buy it online.  It sounds awesome.  I'm sure you still have to follow the Simeon diet.  I live in austin and need to get on the program.  Please Help!

HCG Consumer Alert!
Recently and mainly because of the success of the Kevin Trudeau book "The Weight Loss Cure" companies have been trying to deceive people into thinking that HCG comes in an Oral Alternative Format, THIS IS NOT TRUE!

These companies are only trying to manipulate people into thinking that they are affiliated to diet books, authors and other diet company's in order to try to trick the consumer into buying something that is not real, will not provide the same medical results, and could even result in a serious health condition.

This will be confirmed by disclaimers located throughout and on the bottom of those web sites stating that they are not affiliated to or endorse by the people or products that they are trying to promote.

Real HCG is only available in a format that is injected into the body.

If it is available to be injected into the body, it must be in liquid form. If it is in liquid form, it can also be taken orally. The question is, will it have the same effect.

I would love for this protocol to work.  I just don't want a new craze to start again.  Kevin is a dynamic individual and I have read practically all his books.  He is on the money with regards to Organic foods and avoiding everything mentioned in his book.  I just don't think there is a magic bullet.  I think Factreporter is right.  First of all, the hCG has to be administered by a physician; 2nd it has to come from human and finally it has to come from the urine (pregnant female).  It comes crystallized, then into a powder then mixed into a solution.  Injected intragluteal (into the muscle).  Any other form of hCG especially from a placenta does not work.  Dr. simeon's protocol is quite clear about the source of hCG.  I do agree that the restricted 500 kcal diet is the primary reason to losing weight.  The proper ingredients probably have some added value.  Determine your (resting metabolic rate) RMR and consume less calories than that you will get results.  I would like to hear from others who have gotten results.  If you could share your experiences with some pictures and proofs it would be greatly appreciated.

I have read some of the remarks regarding the oral HCG and decided to do a little investigating on my own and discoved that OraThin is not the alternative to HCG..  HCG is a harmone that is taken from a pregnent woman's urine.  If you would like to have the correct information regarding HCG then I suggest that you look in www.naturalcures.com.  There you will find a phone number you can call to find out about HCG.  GHI is a medical facility out of Tampa, Fl and is the only medical facility that is associated with Kevin Trudeau and is all over the country.  I called the 800 number listed (1-800-819-1027) and spoke to one of the staff.  You can also look on their website at www.ghihrt.com.  It will give you the consumer alert about oral HCG.  When I spoke with the representative at the 800 number, she told me that it would cost over $400.00 for the bloodwork to be done and the cost of the injectable HCG is $210.00 for a six week supply.  I did ask about insurance and was told that most insurances don't cover the cost associated with diet programs.  I told her that I had all my bloodwork done and she told me to call the clinic in Tampa and they will tell me what it is I actually need to have done and if it is all that I have had done then I can send them the report of my bloodwork and that would cost me $150.00 to be reviewed by their physician.  I would like to try this program but I don't want to compromise my health and money on a product that I am not sure about and that Kevin Trudeau does not endorse.  The cost for the OraThin (THE ORAL ALTERNATIVE TO HCG) is $150.00.  I would rather pay the $60.00 more for the real thing.  I thought this might be of some help for those who are interested in HCG.  Oh and it does not have to be administed by a physician.  You will recieve the perscription for the HCG and also the needles which I was told is like taking insulin.  Very small and can be administed by you into the muscle.  I would be interested in hearing from anyone who has any comments.

Question, If Releana is an all natural pill, why do you need a prescription?   Releana's website states "The key is our unique, patented oral (liquid) FORMULATION of the hCG"

Which, sounds like just another ALTERNATIVE to HCG, not the REAL deal.  Everything I've read states HCG needs to be injected under the skin wall to be effective.

I am really confused here, you seem to know a lot about this HCG, I am thinking about the shots, I have read here they go into the muscle and also heard they go into the fatty tissue, several different web sites concur with this, have you used these and how do you administer them.  If anyone else has used these injections would you let me know how you do it.
Thanks you

Wondering if the treatment with realena is as effective as the hcg injections.......ie will the realena treatment reset the hypothalamus gland.

by txredhead, Oct 14, 2007 01:53PM
I started on the Releana (oral hcg taken sublingually twice a day) on September 26.  I did the two days of eat, eat, eat. I weigh at the doctor's office every week.  Last Tuesday's weigh in I was down 9.5 pounds.  I am on a 600 to 800 calorie diet.  (2-3.5 oz servings of chicken, very lean beef or veal, or very limited fish,  2-3.5 oz servings of very limited veggies and 2 fruits (either apples, oranges, 6 strawberries, or 1/2 grapefruit). NO fat or bread or dairy or sugar or alcohol. Lots of water, coffee, tea, and Crystal Lite.  I get two B12 shots a month.  I have been overweight all of my life and nothing has worked like this.  I'm not hnugry and don't have cravings.  What is amazing the changes in this 58 year old body.In two weeks I have lost 3" in my waist, 4" in my hips, 4.5 " in each thigh, and 1.5 " in each upper arm.

To: txredhead
You say you have lost 1.5" in each upper arm, etc.  I'm especially interested in what happens after that -- whether you have losts of sagging skin after losing in the thighs and upper arms.  What is your experience so far?

by txredhead, Oct 22, 2007 10:00PM
To: venmar
To update, as of last Tuesday, the 16th, I had lost 12.5 lbs. I have now lost 4.5" in my waist, 4.5" in my hips, 4.5" in each thigh and 1.5" in each arm.  I will go back on Wednesday afternoon for my official 4 week weigh-in and measure.  You asked about sag.  My arms were always the first place I saw weight gain and the last place for it to come off. I call them my bat wings. (And remember, I'm 58.)  I do walk at least a mile at least 6 times a week and I am working out with 5 lb weights and doing some other exercises for strengthening the lower back.  I have degenerative disc disease and knees that are almost to the point of having to be replaced.  So sometimes, that can be a real challenge.  I feel so much better right now that I went dancing with a friend this past weekend.  So to answer your question, the sagging skin is not anymore of a problem than it has ever been.  I have had to buy new panties, because they kept sliding down on my hips.  My bra is in the tightest notch, but I have not lost in the cup.  I started in a size 18 pants and I am now in a 14 and will soon have to go on down to a 12.  I am in blouses that I haven't been able to wear in a long, long time.  My blood pressure medication has been reduced to 1/2 the strenghth I was on, but my thyroid medication has had to be increased because of the weight loss.  I expect the weigh-in on Wednesday to show that I am under 200 pounds for the first time since 1997.  In case you can't tell, I am absolutely thrilled with this program.  The only problem I seem to have is that even on such a restricted diet, I don't get hungry and have to make myself eat.  That is a nice problem to have.  The expectations of the program when I started (which I anticipated were exagerated) are proving to be true.  I mean, inches are coming off so fast--faster than the lbs.  How many 200 pound women can wear a 14 in pants and they are loose?!!

my sis is taking the HCG shots and says she is losing 1lb per day.  I did not know that the book Weight loss cure had a 500 cal per day diet.  Do you really think this is the only reason for  the weight loss?  How can so many claim to have kept the weight off for a long time after if the 500 cal is the only reason?

by txredhead, Oct 24, 2007 06:24PM
To: DHS5869
It's my understanding that the low cal diet is what takes the weight off but the Releana or hcg injections is what makes the body use up the stores of fat which gives the inches lost.

I've found a doctor in my area that administers Releana.  Do you find that the Relena truely removes fat from the problem areas (stomach, thighs, and buttock)?

There are so many claims out here I'm totally confused.  I want optimum results that are best for my health and at the best price.

Also, will you share how much the Releana cost.

Thanks

releana is a sublingual oral hcg which burns the stored fat while on their given diet. it gets the unwanted fat awat rather then muscle. I was told that to obtain Releana you must see a doctor who carries Releana so they can monitor your progress. They will not sell it to anyone without them seeing a doctor. I have been reading this forum for a while now and i want to know where this guy factreporter gets there information?

by luvfullmodels, Jan 02, 2008 01:22PM
To: whom it concerns
If you are interested in loosing weight, Releana's hcg....is what you would want!  Im a 6 foot, mother of 4.  I wear a size 12, shoe.....and am absoutely beautiful.  I reside in Kansas City, Mo.....and am well known here as a sexy full figured model.  Im not sure why someone would deliberately set out to discourage anyone who is ready to make a change in their appearance!  But, as I read, I get more and more UPSET by the constant shoot downs at the releana diet.

I started the diet October 16, 2007; with a starting weight of 308-after the required initial two day, eat-all-u can. I dedicated myself to the program 100%, with no slip-ups.  At the end of the first 28 day cycled bottle of releana, I weighed in at 272lbs.  I took a 3 week break inbetween bottles, stupidly returning to my old eating habbits, I regained 12 of my 36 lost lbs.  One must realize that diets only help pull the wieght off....regardless of the program you choose!!  It is up to us to permanantly reprogram eating habbits.

While breaking inbetween bottles, I ate any and everything I wanted.....by all means including as much chocolate as possible.  I totally took advantage of the myself and the diet!  The diet is supposed to reprogram your hypothalmus, and permantly switch your body to burn fat for energy.  Which it will do, if you dont misuse food, get plenty of excercise, eat 3-6 small portions daily, and drink plenty of water!

I messed up....and regret was written all over my character!  On December 3, I returned to the diet for a second round, weighing in at 286lbs, I was more determined than ever to catch up to where my progress left me.  Devotion and hard work has paid of once more.....as of December 31, 2007; I weighed in at 250 lbs. My next appt. to see the doctor will be January 18th, at this point I will be starting my 3rd round of releana. While inbetween bottles I will weigh myself everyday, drink the desired amount of water daily (80 oz), and better selections of meal portions will continue.

The weight loss battle is a struggle for the majority of citizens-nation wide!!  Whatever program you choose, keep an open mind that the diet is a change on the body, and we also need to make changes to accomodate a permanant change.  With out change, we create the yo/yo effect!!  The truth is........we CANNOT be glutons, we MUST eat smaller portions, and with no doubt.....we HAVE to excercise!!  If you are not willing to do these three things...you are fighting a no-winning battle!

Releana will do it for you!  But, please do your part too when it's time.  The good thing with the releana diet is, if you are lazy, you will still be on task......because the diet doesn't call for ANY exercise!!  And if you try to exercise anyway.....you will acquire a major headache, and possible dizziness as well.  Whats recommended is.....Toning!  Please tone, no diet will decrease fat, tighten loose skin, and protect you from the regain of weight......RIGHT?

I return to the regimend at the end of the month, occaisionally check in, and I will continue to post my updates!    Love ya' all, and good luck as you begin your individual journies!!

by creativs8, Jan 19, 2008 01:32PM
I live in CA - I went to Millennium Med Spa in Newport Beach (owners of the releana.com and www.ocmedspa.com websites) for a consultation. The Spa took a blood sample and I met with Deidre (the owner of the spa). We discussed my medical history, questions I had and the Releana program. She was THOROUGH...and quite engaging. After getting approval of my primay physician to start the program (he said he heard of the program but didn't think there was truth in it. He told me to go for it and to keep him posted - more on my results in a minute.) I went back and obtained the Releana (it must be refrigerated), potassium supplements and 2 appetite supplements (AM &PM), and water pills. I was told I must take my multi-vitamin everyday as well (with food.)

I did my two loading days (eating whatever I wanted - high fat foods) and on the 3rd day, started the Releana diet plan. The diet is easy to follow... what's funny is if I eliminated the junk food from my own diet, my existing diet would have been very close to the Releana diet... It was hard for me to eat high fat foods during the loading days, but eating some fast food and ice cream did the trick. I eat pretty healthy except for chips, candy, cookies, cakes, etc.  Since I can't eat these foods during the program, transitioning to the Releana diet plan was easy. I did my first weigh-in on the 18th and lost 12 pds so far! Personally, I think the loss is about 6-9pds (although I will accept the 12) because I retain water easily which is why the Spa gave me water pills.

The Releana product is liquid (not a pill) and is squirted under the tongue. You hold the prescribed amount under the tongue for 1 minute, then swallow. You have to wait 10 minutes before you eat or drink anything. I was told to take Releana twice a day - my routine is my first dose around 7am and my second one between 6-8pm (depends on when I get home.) I drink my 10 glasses a water a day (which was part of my normal routine anyway.) I did add a squirt of lime juice in my water or fresh cucumber - it's refreshing. I eat the lean meat, chicken breast or fish (3 1/2 ounces) and 3 1/2 ounces of vegetables. I was told to only eat one kind of vegetable per meal (ex. spinach or tomatoes, not both of them together.) That seemed hard to do, my after my 5th day, I was on track.

As far as working out, the Spa told me I could do LIGHT exercise but avoid anything to intense. The result would be dizziness, feeling light-headed, etc. I walk 2x a week (casual 20 min. stroll) and do a little toning. I just feel better when I stretch, etc. everyday.

I read mostly every post and I didn't hear too many people discuss the maintenance part of the Releana program. When you've reached your target weight, transitioning to the maintenance program is easy. You can pretty much add back to your diet the things you ate before. I am sure with the calorie reduction, you probably won't eat as much (unless you force yourself) but the maintenance part does have guidelines. They said it takes 3 weeks for your body to readjust after stopping Releana so if you try to continue the reduced calorie diet for weeks on end, you will gain weight. If some say they continued to lose weight, they started to lose muscle which is what you don't want to happen.

Following the maintenance program is so easy (weigh yourself everyday, avoid too much of the processed carbs and sugar) that it resembles the diet plans we read about everyday (lean meats, fresh veggies, avoid a lot of sugar, etc.)

My co-worker went to Millennium Spa last summer and had great results. She lost 30 pounds and went from a size 10 to a 4/6. She continues to eat well - she splurges here an there but also exercises. She's lost another 8 pounds on her own after ending Releana. We both know at 8 people who went as well (since the time she went) and they also have great results. I am the last one in the circle to try this and their support has been great as well. My sister will start the program next week. I will keep up posted on my progress!

To end this... my primary doctor asked me to come in after I told him I lost 12 pounds so far. He's one of those people who doesn't believe anything. He's funny and nerve-wrecking at the same time. He checked my blood pressure (normal), did a strength test (squeezing a ball, standing on one leg, etc.) and that was good, he checked my reaction to noise, light, etc. that was normal too. He weighed me and confirmed I lost 12 pounds so far. He said my heart rate was faster than normal... (he's cute so I always get a little flushed around him.) I don't know if that had anyting to do wth it, though. :o)

I'll see what happens. I don't expect my experience to be like anyone else's. I do recommend that people consult with a medical professional who has experience with hCG instead of relying on "I heard..." "why not..." chit-chat on the web. Go directly to the source... I did. I'll post another comment next week.

Okay, my question is this...  Does anyone know the long term effects of taking Human Chorionic Gonadotrophin?  This sounds really scary to me.  hCG is also a tumor marker for those of you who didn't know...  We check these levels for certain cancers...  I would research a little closer what exactly I was putting in my body before just taking some Dr.'s opinion who probably has stock in this "new" miracle product.....

Here is what i have to say about HcG.  I have been on many diets throughout my life.  I have never been REALLY over weight but usually wanting to lose 30 lbs or so (several times).  I did this protocol (HcG injections with 500 cal diet) and I had remarkable results.  I lost 1/2 pound per day, had tons of energy and really felt great.  I was really skeptical because I really wasn't sold on the idea of injecting myself with anything but I felt like I needed something to jump start the weight loss.  I have shrunk my stomach a lot, which is something that hasn't happened EVEN when I have lost a similar amount of weight.  Now I have been on the maintence and still loosing.  He says you shouldn't do this but i have been hitting the gym hard and my appetite is still low so I am still losing.  I have lost 5 pounds since ending the shots 2 1/2 weeks ago and still feel great.
This is of course my opinion and it worked for me, may not for others.  I do know that if you are a person who has to have a little of "treat" food every day, this diet will not work.  There is something magical about the 500 cals and when you go over, you stop losing and if you are under, you stop losing...you HAVE to stay on track.
Good luck to all
I got my HCG from www.ghimedical.com
They do a full blood workup and you have to get permission from your doc

This is my 2nd try on oral Releana.  First time I was exactly following the required diet.....3 portions meat 2 fruits 2 veggies.....starting out I weighed 268-60 year old female.....lost 26 lbs 24 day......! At 2 weeks I was feeling tired....so Dr increased protein to 2-6oz portions daily....still lostand felt much better.  I was doing too much exercise ...gardening, 1hr at gym and walking.....but with increased protein I kept losing and felt much better.  I kept off the inches and the weight thru xmas and new years w/many times being not on diet regimen.  Just started 2 month and have lost 7 lb in 7 days.  I am eating the larger amount of protein and still exercising 4 - 5 days a week  until spring comes and I can be outside again......feeling fine.  I pay $250 for oral Releane thru Dr office.  Anyone pay less ? or more?  Am looking for source for cheaper oral releana

Since I read Keven book, I am trying to get HCG from pregnant Women urine, but I have no luck.
No body would send it to Canada. I would go to the State but it is expensive, and I do not know where to start.
If anyone could help me out, information what can I do.
I am desperate, my weight is very bad on my knees, I can not walk more then 5 minute.

Six weeks ago I made an appointment to investigate the Releana promise.  Today I drove an hour one-way from home for initial physical, lab work, EKG, & program screening, just to try the Releana program.  Cost $125.  As an licensed nurse, I have learned to listen and can usually read between the lines.  At the end of the first visit, I felt confident that the medical tech was very knowledgable and truly believed in the program.  I go back next week for my second visit and will pursue the Releana program.  Throughout my fifteen years as a nurse, I have tried numerous weight-loss methods.  To me, the bariatric surgery seems to be the highest risk of all *(early caloric intake is 500 calories of less)* and after two - three years, many patients are still returning to old habits and are regaining their weight back.  So I plan on trying this program through the summer.  I have approximately sixty pounds to lose and have been told that it can easily happen within the next three months.  I will keep you updated and would like to see more recent updates from others who are in maintainance stages right now.

I just started the Relena program with a 800 cal diet from a physician.  I only need to lose 15, maybe 20 lbs.  I was wondering how fast most people lose weight on the program that don't really have a large amount to lose.  I lost 6 pounds in 10 days.  I am in the middle of week two.  I feel great.  I am 51 and have tried everything.  It's hard to lose weight at my age.  It took me a month to lose five pounds at weight watchers and I stuck with program to a tee!

I started taking the oral HCG on June 2nd, and I have lost exactly 30 pounds so far. I am rarely hungry, have lots of energy, and I am very pleased with my results so far!  I have lost many inches and fit into clothing that I have not worn in a long time. the inches gone are more noticeable to my family and friends who have not seen me in a while.

I have read the Weight Loss Cure book by KT and was told by a friend who went on this diet and lost 65lbs that she used the oral alternative OraThin and her loss was over a 5mo period.
I just purchased the OraThin and am ready to begin, however have heard negative responses about this alternative hcg.
Can anyone respond.

THERE IS NO ORAL hCG. I'M TELLING YOU IT IS A SCAM!!!!!!   Yes the hCG gets mixed with Sodium Chloride better know as (sterile water) which is a liquid but, this is a hormone and has to be injected intramuscular. If anybody wants to know how the origional (authintic) hCG protocol works read the manuscript by the founder Dr.Simeons. It will tell you why & how it works. Also if you are on the correct hCG protocol with the acceptable & required foods then you WILL loose 1 pound a day........ NO exceptions!!!! If you are doing everything right (per Dr.Simeons) then you will loose 1lbs a day.

I am now halfway through my second month and have lost almost 30 lbs and 25 inches on my body.  My boyfriend lost around 35 lbs and massive inches also.  My mom and sister also did a month and after their first month lost about the same amount of inches and 20-22 lbs each.  I learned about the program from my boyfriend's step mom and dad who are both doctors.  His father's old partner when they had a practice now treats people with Releana.  Their form is a sublingual drop that you apply orally twice daily.  The hormone is produced naturally in your body when you become pregnant to eat up your body fat to make a home for the fetus.  However, when you take the drops for weight loss it instead (when you are in a starvation mode) to use your own "fat" as energy instead of what you would normally consume.  Yes, the diet can be depressing and stinky at times but trust me the results are so worth it and going down into skinny pants and being able to wear that sexy bikini down the river tubing is way worth it.  If you are planning on the doing the program, find a trusted doctor who checks your body fat, lean body mass and water levels.  Also my doctor gives me weekly B-12 injections for the lost energy from the diet.  Anyone who disagrees with the diet is either jealous they cannot afford it or confused as to how something so amazing finally was created.  I'm sold.
