Oral HcG & the protocol

by germangirl1003, Jan 03, 2009 08:54PM
From what I can tell many of the people using HcG are experiencing a high amount of weight loss really fast.  Does anyone know if this is appropriate for a loss of no more than 20 lbs; I need to lose that amount and really dont want to lose any more than that.  Is it possible to do the protocol and take the "oral hcg" until I reach my target weight and stop at that point rather than continuing for the full 45 days?

Hcg can be used for as little as 20 pounds. However, you should do a full three weeks of shots (at the minimum) to stabilize your hypothalmic function. Taking hcg "resets" your hypothalmus. Also, if you do not follow the very low calorie diet, those twenty pounds could take longer than 20 days.
You don't have to worry about losing too much weight with hcg. When your hypothalmus is working correctly, your body knows what your ideal weight is and you can't lose more. Your body sets a new "set point". I don't know how this works, but that is what I have been told. Part of it, though, is that hcg unlocks your stored fat to be metabolized and when that is gone, it doesn't go after your muscle mass, it just stops.
