Results of my 1st week with B-12!

by Never Say Die-T, Apr 08, 2006 12:00AM
5 pounds in 6 days!

Went for my 1st shot on 3/31 and then went again on 4/6 (just one day short of a full week).

I really didn't think I had lost, and was prepared for whatever the scale displayed, so I was very surprised when the nurse said "You lost 5 pounds".  I asked her if she was sure, and she smiled and said "Look at the scale and look at your chart from last week".
I was very, very pleased.  5 pounds is 5 pounds LOL

I  must mention that in addition to the shots, this doctor also prescribes an appetite suppressant, diuretic (water pill), chromium, and a multi-vitamin. These are all taken once a day with breakfast.
Your blood pressure is checked every visit, and the doctor always checks in with you personally to see what kind of side effects (if any) you may be experiencing.  My doctor is in Los Angeles.

I know this initial loss could just be water weight, but still I am pleased.
I should also mention that I drink a ton of water, hit the gym 2-3 times a week, and I do NOT eat after 7pm (which is very hard).

Just wanted to share - I will keep updating :)

I know your happy with losing 5 pounds in 6 days but that can be critical to your health. Please ask your doctor if you keep losing that much weight every 6 to 7 days. I heard by my doctor 2 pounds a week are the most you should lose. He told me more than 2 pounds a week can hurt you. Good Luck!! I hope you keep a good process going!!

my dr also advised me that 2pounds a week was average but I lost 9. He told me that your weight loss will vary week to week. and so you may go a week where you don't lose anything. so keep that in mind as well. GOOD LUCK
