Im having problems losing weight i've been running for about 1 week 2 times a day one at night and morning. I havent seen any weight loss just loss 10 of water weight. I weight myself im at 197 in the morning then after the day again im 202 same old thing help me thanks
You didn't say how long you were running in each of your sessions, but if you are going out for say 15 or 20 minutes each time, you will have done nothing to further your fitness level (and possibly not your weight loss).
I suggest a low-carb or no-carb diet. Atkins is a good place to start if you don't know anything about them. And do some weight training. If you stick with both of these plans, you will be amazed at the results.
Suddenly running twice a day sounds like a recipe to get injured. You have to slowly get your body used to running. I would suggest running every other day initially and work your way up to running everyday.
Good luck.
I started fast walking with intervals of jogging on Jan 5, and didn't see any weight loss for 3 weeks, but during that time, I lost 10 inches off of the 12 measurement sites I was tracking on www.mybodycomp.com 's body fat monitor. It said that I had actually lost 6 pounds of fat by then, but had gained 3 pounds of muscle.
I wouldn't suggest trading running for weight training. BOTH have their place in weight loss. But if you have just started running (or just started again), since running is a weight-bearing exercise, you will build muscle in your lower body that way. Weight training is great for weight loss because it burns energy and builds muscle, and once you build more muscle, your metabolism gets faster, and you firm up too. Muscle is more dense than fat, so two people with the same weight will look different... one with more fat will look bigger than one with more muscle.
Keep up the running. It is such a great way to adjust your diet and metabolism and cardiovascular health gradually. Sure the weight comes off slowly and after a week you will not see any results yet but exercising alone makes you crave healthier foods without any particular diet. You will need a bunch of carbs, the good type like multigrain products, to keep your muscles going and unless you become a marathon runner, your body will probably rather look healthy and strong than bony and fragile, but hey, that skeletton fashion trend will not last forever. You made a healthy choice - unless you have knee problems... I just started a pretty strenuous exercise regimen three times a week and was a bit irritated that my clothes felt tighter. It is as if muscles first swell up for a few days with any fatty deposits on top...but then the deposits start melting away. They really do eventually.
