Started Phintermine 12 today, anyone have any luck taking this? Fightu35, please don't respond

by fungirl, Jun 18, 2007 12:00AM
Hi everyone, I started taking Phintermine (dose 15) today and was wondering if anyone had any luck with this pill?  I am also doing weight watchers in conjunction with this.  The only side effect that I seem to be having is a headache.  Please give me some ideas about how much weight I can expect to lose taking this.  Thanks for any input.  Kasie

:( meany !! i only type the truth....If you choose this..good luck to you..all I say  look at what I posted..in major studies the weight loss with phent was only 3-12 lbs more..but with aqll the risks....and its never been studied long term..and as soon as you stop all weight comes back..now my fans here will refuse to listen ,based on not likeing me...?? which makes no sense..facts are facts !

15 to 30 mg of phentermine daily resulted in about 1 lb to 13 lb more weight loss than when using a PLACEBO The medication was used from 2 weeks to 24 weeks, with an average use of about 13 weeks. Most of the people using phentermine in the studies reviewed also made lifestyle changes, such as diet or exercise.
Side Effects
Side effects of phentermine include:

Nervousness.
Irritability.
Sweating.
Nausea.
Headache.
Dry mouth.
Constipation.
Sleep problems.
Possible addiction.

See Drug Reference for a full list of side effects. (Drug Reference is not available in all systems.)

What To Think About
Phentermine is no longer marketed in Europe due to a possible association with heart and lung problems.1

It is not known whether these medications are safe to take for more than a few weeks.

Weight generally is regained after stopping medication.

The best weight-loss medication program will also incorporate a weight-loss diet and exercise.
you  atleast was nice..so I will not respond no more..unless you ask me something..but you owe it to yourself and health to check it out..other then from 'selling sites' and so called DR'S!

You have pasted your material, particularly info against your latest target, Phentermine, about 4 times in the past few days. Frankly, I have lost count. In the Terms of Agreement, the last condition listed here is actually number 16 on the list. Please review. I am starting to feel a bit harassed myself and I have not even posted anything regarding Phentermine, thus far.

Thank you.

Hi Fungirl, I have been meaning to respond to your previous post.

Actually, Phentermine has been studied since the 1960's and has long been considered quite safe, unless, of course, one has high blood pressure. When I was on it years ago, I had my blood pressure checked every three to six months, but I historically have had blood pressure counts on the very low end of normal, and generally, am in good health.

People can say what they will....is this more effective than a placebo? Well, how do you get into a clinical trial then to find out....sorry, that makes no sense, so you do what you need to do and if you need a "tool" to help you along, many people have had great success with Phentermine. It got a bad rap about 12 years ago when it was paired with Fenfloramine (mispelled, but at least I can admit that!!!) thus the combo, "Fen-phen" and it caused some problems and so it was pulled from the market.

The doses range from 15 mg to 20 mg, to 37.5 mg. I am wondering if the headache you are experiencing might be due to the change in diet and not so much the med. Or, possibly it is due to low water intake? Headache and dehydration go hand in hand. Whatever side effects you are experiencing should go away within about two weeks...but, usually the side effect that comes to mind is dry mouth and also some sleeplessness at night...but, just for a few nights and probably not with that particular dose.

I have maintained a 45 pound weight loss since my late teens (done, I might proudly add, with Weight Watchers and Pilates type of exercise taught at my college back in the 70's.

After a surgical menopause, which brought its own array of major problems, I needed a jumpstart and that is when the Phentermine helped out....I will add that it helped out for tons of reasons, but too much to get into here.... but until we have walked in anothers shoes, right? So, I do see where this is an extremely personal issue and one that should be made between you and your doctor...yet it is helpful to hear of other's successes, too.....

I am a huge Covert Bailey fan. The man literally changed my life. "Fit or Fat" is my all time favorite and I also love, "Smart Exercise" by Bailey, too. I have worked out since 1982 and it has paid off big time with the only set back occuring during the time I had to have the surgery.....but, with the Weight Watcher diet (I also follow some of the principles of Suzanne Somers...excellent!), the aerobic activity, and at that time, the Phentermine, I have been on a pretty good course. Weight training has helped reverse bone loss  and, Oh, I love my Rebounder, too.

Best of luck to all of  you. You will feel so great and so accomplished and doing this now will add years to your life and life to your years (oh...I like that!).
