Starting shots

by TL63, May 10, 2006 12:00AM
Well I have been reading this board for some time now. I have learned alot. I am going to be starting the b12 shots tomorrow.  I am hoping to lose atleast 40 lbs.
What kind of diet do they put you on ?
Also, what happens when you reach you goal?
Do you continue to go for a maintence shot?
Any help would be great.

will you be under the care of a physician or doing the shots on your own? Is it straiht b-12 or a mixture? Good Luck!

I am going to a Dr. And I am not sure what the actual mix is that he give. But I will be asking him.

I started my B12 vitamin shots and phentermine and I have to say, so far so good. The nurse advised I'll have a headache or nausea the first day, but I'm fine. No side effects (thus far, praise GOD)  A very skilled nurse gave me a shot in my upper buttocks, which I did not feel AT ALL. My daughter was with me at the visit and she watched while the injection took place. I had to ask her did they really stick me! LOL They weighed me in at 189lbs, I'm 5"4, and my BMI is 34. I hope to lose anywhere between 40-50lbs and I'll be sure to keep you upated. I chose the low calorie diet plan, since I've been monitering my calories anyway and light to moderate excercise with household chores and walking with my girls. When I went to the MD back in February 25th I was 202lbs, so those 13lbs I did on my own. I averaged about six lbs a month. Many blessings to you in your weight loss journey.
