Taking Cymbalta and Phentermine

Hi,

I am currently taking 60mg of Cymbalta. I would like to try Duromine (Phentermine) just wondering if anyone has tried these two drugs together and if they have had any serious or any side effects or issues at all? Thanks

Hi!
Yes, taking the two drugs together can cause serious side effects, especially a condition called serotonin syndrome which can cause seizure, hallucination, confusion, extreme blood pressure fluctuations, increased heart rate which can go to dangerous levels, blurred vision etc. Please discuss with your doctor before starting. Take care!

My Dr told me absolutely not when I asked if I could have one more refill on phentermine.  I've been off it for months, but now on Cymbalta.. said really bad side effects..  BUT at least I'm in a good mood now!   and exercising, walking daily really helped me lose my 42 lbs and keeping it off now off the phentermine.    Good luck and be careful!     Alison  (was 199 lbs  now at 157 lbs !!)!!
