Taking Seasonale

I have a question about the birth control pill Seasonale. I started dieting June 2004 and lost 100 lbs by Feb 2005. That is about the time I changed my bc to Seasonale and since then it has been really hard to loose a pound. I have just recently put the two together, I just thought my body was resisting losing since I had lost so much already. By the way, I still have a lot to loose, so I am not close to my ideal weight.
My ? is, does anyone know if this is the reason I am having such a hard time loosing? I was told the bc shot will make you gain even if you are dieting, so since this pill stops your TOM for mths at a time like the shot, could this be the problem??
Sorry for the long ?, I just wanted to get some opinions here before I went to my doc.

BC Pills can create lots of different sides effects for different people. I am on Seasonale and have found that it gives me night sweats from time to time, which I never had before. I have never found weight issues with it, but the same went for other BCP that I was on.

You could try switching pills & see if that works, but I know it would be hard since there is nothing out there comparable to Seasonale. You could try switching & skip the placebos?

I have been taking Seasonale for about 2 years or so due to ovarian systs.  By staying on the pill & not allowing myself to ovulate eliminates the pain.  I have also received the shot YEARS ago & I absolutely hated it.  I had break through bleeding that lasted over a week at a time & never knew when to expect it.  I started losing my hair due to the fact that the shot "back then" only consisted of one hormone where the pill offers two.  I have had a hard time losing weight too. I have been told that it's not due to the pill but I seem to think it does.  I just started taking Glucofast for insulin resistance as I think that's what might be going on.  We'll see.  The only suggestion I can make is talk to your doctor.  Tell them everything that is going on & demand answers.
