Thank God for tea on the protocol

by akelly, Oct 31, 2007 09:35PM
I'm becoming a tea addict I think....can't snack on **** all day and drink Chardonnay all night.....
I only like green tea and Oolong tea without milk and I use an awesome sweetener called Organic Zero....its granulated and there isn't an aftertaste.

Does anyone drink Yerba Mate without milk?

i do miss my evening chardonnay as well....i am not using stevia or any sweetener at this point.  i drink green tea (organic) and yerba mate in the day...plain.  it is bland but different from water at least.  i have not had milk either...at all.  i drink chamomile tea at night sometimes.  i think the daytime teas help with hunger.

I hate tea!!!  But, I am drinking it daily.  YUK!  I drink organic 2 oolong, 1 green, 1 yerba mate, and 1 chamomile.  I mix them all together 32 ounces and add stevia drops (15 drops) orange flavor.  It is tolerable.

wow gracie that sounds....interesting! i like tea a lot, but i hate hate hate herbal tea like chamomile. i can't tolerate it in any way. i just bought some flavored stevia i'm hoping to use in some concoctions soon...

psychnp, i am pretty sure the chardonnay is what put all my weight back on. i just recently aquired a taste for wine about a year ago, and i love it to pieces...if only there was some kind of low calorie wine...i've looked online, apparently there is but it is just watered down...i could do that myself!

hmmm, i didnt even know that about lc wine.  it will be sooo good though...this is my 9th day of the vlcd and as i was cooking the chicken last night, i was fantasizing about a phase 3 meal of red snapper with crab topping, with a nice glass of wine....lol!   i dont have bad cravings though and feel this whole thing is absolutely worth it for me.  well, i guess its time to brew the tea :)  have a great day!

yeah, i'm thinking that after 6 weeks of this, plus another 3 without sugar or starch, I'll be on my butt from one glass of wine....
I'm assuming wine is in the starch category?

your snapper/crab/wine combo sounds yummy

Me too! I'll have to check the book, but I thought KT said to enjoy a glass of red wine in Phase 2 to relax. I'll be starting Phase 2 in about a week or so, so I better find out. I LOVE  my wine!

Try Yerba Mate chilled with stevia and lime. I abhor tea but I had some of this today. And I'll have it again-it was yummy
