I have just recently started the Clinic in Gastonia,NC; Wed. to be exact. GREAT people!!! Everyone was very friendly and helpful. I am taking the Shots once a week and 1 Phentermine a day. The only problem I am having is that i'm not a water drinker, but I have put my mind to it, that i'm gonna do it. The only thing that I am afraid of is that I will get tired of the water real quick. I went from 2-3 20oz Mountain Dews a day to none at all. I did buy a Diet one today and drank 1/2 of it. I guess the real qeustion is, can anyone help with some suggetions? I have bought CrystalCrystal b-12 Light Tea, Fruit Punch & Pink Lemonade, and that is helping some. I really want to do this and lose my weight. I have never really been able to succeed at anything in my life except -- my girls and my weight gain :-{. Dont' get me wrong my girls are my life and I do want to see my grandchildren someday and unless I change my weight I wont! Thanks for any suggestion's.
maybe if you picture yourself in a bikini on the beach while you drink your water you will be more likely to drink it! joking aside its hard when youre not a water drinker. try putting fruit slices in it, lemon, limes, oranges. some people say cucumber slices are good. maybe get a smaller water bottle (they have them in kid size bottles) it wont seem so hard to finish. i think with anything once you get into a groove it will come as second natureNature-throid Natures tears. my problem is i started drinking way too much water and i was having horrible headaches. but im talking a 16 oz container and id fill it maybe 10 times a day!! greenGreen tea tea is great too, but i saw on a show that white tea is better for you. good luck, you can do it!
Thanks--I have never heard of cucumber in water so maybe i'll try that too! I have a 2qt jug in the frig and I have some 9oz bottles that I have been using. So far ok but just scared. Thanks Again.
This might sound really silly, but here is the trick I used when I started out. I got three of those 24 oz bottles with the spout type of lid, like in the convenience stores, and I literally got a marker and numbered them 1, 2, and 3! When I emptied one, I put it by the kitchen sink, and it would be encouraging throughout the day to see them lined up there! At night I would refill them and put them in the fridge to be cold for the next day.
I exercise early in the morning and its easy to drink a whole one during a workout, so then there's only two to go. Either get 'em over with and then you know you can drink what you want (within reason!) or pace it throughout the day or what ever works for you. But I promise once you get used to it you do start feeling better and craving it and also my daughters wanted their own numbered bottles too! So it was a healthy habit for all of us.
My sister would make herself little challenges like "I'm going to drink this bottle by the time it takes me to drive to the store," or I'm going to take two drinks every time I walk around the yard, or something "fun" like that. Also she really believes in drinking a big glass before she cooks dinner so she won't munch while she cooks. Hope these tips help - Good luck!
I have a 28 oz water bottle, and just chug one twice a day, and consider it like medicine. I just take a deep breath and down it all at once. The rest of the time, I refill it with Crystal light. I probably drink 2 a day of those. That's plenty of liquid.
Be careful with too much water consumption. It can be dangerous.
Keep up the good work, you'll get the hang of it!
