Weight Loss Update

by kntx720, Mar 07, 2006 12:00AM
I went to the doctor today (Monday) and I have lost 13 pounds (it will be two weeks tomorrow that I started going to the doctor).  I will go again on Friday for another shot.  The doctor I go to doesn't give water pills.  Still not too sure about Adipex and how it is making me feel.  Only curbs the hunger slightly.  I am a 23 yr old female with two small kids...it is hard to find a way or place to exercise.  I bought a DDR (dancepad) for my playstation as a means for exercise -  but me and my son, who is about to turn 3, just ended up fighting over it :-) As far as diet goes, I am just watching what I eat.  The doctor said to eat whatever I usually eat, just less of it.  I am trying to stay away from the really bad carbs...breads and sugars.  Anyhow, I will post again Friday and let everybody know how it goes at the doctor.

Who can I go to in Beaumont? Having a hard time finding a Dr. (male, 33)

Dr. Ede does the shots...the phone book says they have offices in Beaumont and Nederland.  Dr. Randolph gives them and his office is in Port Arthur.  Dr. Harris's office in Beaumont also gives the shots but he is an OB-GYN...I don't know if they see men...lol.  Please post any progress.

ONTRAK in Beaumont & Orange. The # for Orange is in the phone book & you can get Bmt's from them. You have to schedule your 1st appointment, then I think each week you can just walk in to do your follow-ups. $60 cash the 1st visit, $20/week after that for B12 shots. I don't know if it's more if you get the HCG shots. You also have to buy your own meds (of course). I know lots of people going & having lots of success. I start 3/17. I have been using Hydroxycut & Farenheit (alternating every 2 weeks - seems my body gets used to one & so I switch). Starting walking & also drinking SlimFast. Have only lost about 5 pounds in about 1 month. Looking for a little more of a jump start. Would like to lose about 40 more before the end of June! :-)
