I know exactly how you feel, i had my son in April and I'm finding it really hard to get rid of my belly, I look like I'm expecting again and its really depressing, I asked on this site for help and someone suggested the south beach diet but i wasnt sure what it was so I asked my health visitor and she told me it took 9 months for you to get that big, you shouldn't worry if it takes that long to get back to shape. (easy for her to say) I have now started to do light excercises using my son for help, lie on floor, tighting your stomach and lift my son up and down. He enjoys it as much as me and its great for bonding. Good luck

Does anyone know of a location in or around Houston where I can get the B12 shot?  I do not want the pills.

well girls, I don't know how much you have heard about the "shots and pills" or how you feel about it, but here is my story. I have battled weight loss my whole adult life and never been able to lose enough to amount to anything; what I have lost I have gained back and then some because I have never truly changed my habits. As of June of this year I weighed 280 and was refered to a dietician because my blood sugar levels were high. She finally scared me into reality by making me realize I would have diabetes in a few years if I didn't do something. I started making some small changes here and there that I thought I could live with, such as more vegetables , less fast food, etc. The really hard part: Giving up Dr. Pepper!!

Then I saw in the paper an ad for a clinic that gives these shots and appetite suppressants, so I checked it out and long story short, I now weigh 257. Yes that's only 23 lbs, I wish it were more, but I'll take what I can get; at least I know its really going to happen this time. The shots and pills are not magic; they are not whats doing it, the diet and exercise are, but they do give you energy, will power, motivation and help the pounds and inches come off  faster. So I don't get discouraged and I do a lot of research and am able to stick to healthy eating and exercising.

Anyway, the program consists of a weekly shot that is a vitamin B-12 and hcg combo. hcg is a hormone that women produce in pregnancy and when you take it in a shot, it helps draw fat out of your fat cells. Then you have to drink A LOT of water and it flushes the fat on out of your body. You can get another type of shot called lipotropics or lipo b that works in a similar way, it just flushes the fat through your liver. But the hcg is what I take. You also take the appetite suppressant daily, usually in the morning. You see a doctor or nurse weekly and weigh in, check your blood pressure, etc. Depending on where you live, you should be able to just do a search or something and find a clinic near you, or it is possible to order the injections online. Good luck

I read the comments on this forum... I have heard alot about the b-12 injections and the success rate of it working for weight loss... does anyone have the #'s to locations that are in Dallas, TX.... I would really appreciate it so that I can begin on my journey to loose weight... I was recently pregnant and ended up having a miscarriage, but the weight has not come off and that was almost 2 months ago... I gained a whopping 30-35 pounds and I have tried everything for it to come off and the weight will not budge...If anyone has this information I would really appreciate it...

Thanks

I am so sorry for what you have been through,  and I really wish that I could help you. Have you tried researching the bariatric assosciation website for doctors in your area? The only other thing I know to tell you is that people do order the injections online and do it themselves. You should be able to find some information about it from other comments on this site or google hcg or something. good luck

Hello everyone....  To the person who started this thread....
Weight Watchers does work.  I lost 47lbs in about 6 months. You have to discipline.  But it works.....

I now take the phentermine and shot but thats only because I just can't seem to get myself together.  I only intend to take it long enough to get a jump start and I intend to go back to Weight Watchers......
