Weight gain after Hysterectomy

I am 33 and had a total hysterectomy a little over a year ago. I have gained at least 10lbs. I had worked very hard at losing 30lbs after having my two children. I was able to wear 1's or 2's and have not been able to that since high school. But after my surgey I have gone up at least 1 or 2 pant sizes (depending on the company). Most of my weight gain has occured in my stomach. It is so depressing. None of my clothes from last year fit, but I REFUSE to get rid of them. I vowed to myself that I will be back in them. My doctor prescribed Estratest to try and help but I have researced this medication and the side effects are disturbing (deepening of voice, acne, eczema). Some of the side effects are irreversible even if you stop taking the medication. I can't do that, I'd rather deal with my weight gain than continue to gain weight, develop acne and sound like a man. NO WAY!!! If anyone has any advice I would be much appreciative.
