I was on Zoloft, Seroquil, and xanax on and off for anxiety and depression for about 6 months and stopped them in December. Ive tried many SSRIS including WellbutrinWellbutrin Wellbutrin sr Wellbutrin xl, EffexorEffexor Effexor xr, and Lexapro but none seemed to work. I've always had a slight bingeBinge eating eating problem and after I started taking these drugs it worsened. My depression got a lot better and i stopped the medication.. in part to lose weight, but am still struggling. Recently I've been mildly depressed mainly due to my weight gain and have noticed I do not have controlControl Control rx over my eating. So, i got a prescription filled for Wellbutrin because I know it is used for stopping smoking. My question is does this help with controlling binge eating? And is the real wellbutrin better than the generic? Because I might get stuck with the generic if I dont think it's worse than the real stuff.
Thanks!
Yes! That's one of the reasons it was prescribed for me. And BTW, do NOT take the generic WB XL. That gave me the opposite effect. I was practically gnawing on the furniture.
