What is the difference between hcg shots and B12 shots (regarding weight loss)?

by jjacks, Mar 23, 2006 12:00AM
I know hcg is a hormone and B12 is a vitamin, but why do one over the other?  Some doctors give hcg shots while others do B12 shots.  It's confusing and I am trying to decide which route to go.  Thanks for any info.

I went to the doctor yesterday. They told me that the B-12 is for energy and the HCG is to breakdown the fat.

I agree that HCG is not only capable of causing a woman to have multiple pregnacies, but that's not the only thing it is used for. It's also used in Breast Cancer Prevention, Osteoporosis, Glaucoma, Atheroclerosis and blood circulation, and obesity.

The hCG and obesity Research Clinic stated that since a significant fat proportion from total body fat is subcutaneously located (50 to 65 percent, depending on sex and fat distribution), a significant fat proportion from total body fat is subcutaneously located this hCG metabolic activity would result in a reduction of the total body fat mass, the main cause for obesity.

They suggested that the combination of a VLCD and oral hCG could not only trigger clinically significant changes in subcutaneous fat stores but simultaneously decrease body weight and modelate body contour. They also stated that hCG (HUMAN CHORIOGONADOTROPIN) accelerates "not only the mobilization of fat from fat deposits, but also its utilization in peripheral tissues. hCG increased the metabolism of injected fat emulsions, suggesting the acceleration not only of fat oxidation, but also increased ketone production in the liver and its utilization in peripheral tissues.

So in so many words, is this not saying that it breaks down the fat.
