I did not realize adderall (adderrall) was for weight loss.

i have been taking adderall (adderrall) for over three years on and off and i lost 30lbs in just 2 weeks the first time i took it.  My friend is taking it and she hasnt lost a single pound either and she has been taking it for almost 1 year now so i dont know what to tell you about the weight loss part. It helps if you have an active lifestyle too i am a cna and all i do is run around so it is easier to drop the weight off when you keep yourself busy all day long. Not all people lose weight from adderall (adderrall) it just depends on the person and if you actually have a.d.d. it may not help you lose weight. When i was 19 i weighed 180lbs and when i took adderall (adderrall) for the first time i was down to 150 in just 2 weeks. I am a big boned girl so for me to be losing that kind of weight was amazing.  Everyone complimented me at first but then they were worried about me and thought i had an eating disorder which was not the case. Everyone has their own way of losing weight as well just because the scale says one thing it does not mean you are not losing weight.  So this is what i suggest dont weigh yourself for at least 1 month and try on a pair of jeans that didnt fit you before and see if they seem looser on you in a month. It may take more time to lose weight too.  good luck and you can email me if you have any other questions at ***@****

I have been taking adderal for only 2 weeks and I have not lost any weight yet I am also taking wellbutrin and I have not lost ANY weight! I am frustrated. I really do have add I am not just taking it to lose weight so I dont really know if I am supposed to lose weight. I know someone who was taking it to lose weight and they look sick they have lost so much weight.

I've never heard of anyone being 30 and going into menopause!  How on earth does that happen?

On a different note, I have ADD, and was on adderall (adderrall) XR - 60mg per day, and I didn't lose weight, however, when I stopped taking it, I gained 10lbs within 4 weeks, and 3 months later, I'd gained 30lbs total.

I'm going to go get a new prescription for it.
