best effective topamax dosage

by concernd1, Aug 15, 2006 12:00AM
Has anyone had any experience in determining what is the most effective dose of topamax for weight loss? I started on 25mg a day for 1 week, then 25mg am and pm the 2nd week, then 25mg am/50 mg pm the 3rd week, then 50 mg am/50mg pm from then on.  I seemed to almost do better on the smaller dosage. Anyone have similar experience?

I been on this drug for almost a month now ... I take 50 in the morning and split 50...... 1/2 @ around 2pm.. 1/2 @ 5pm.... the key is to drink lots of water.. I drink maybe 2 diet sodas a day and the rest water.... the more water you drink the better... I eat dinner at 7pm.. and I really have to force myself to eat ..then I do have a snack around 9pm ... it is a piece of cheese ( low cal) 35 calorie or whole wheat cracker ( 65 calorie).... I have lost close to 30Lbs.... I'm sure half of this is water...I'm exercising now and feel great.... I do have 1 glass of wine on the weekend... I do allow myself some luxury....
