If you measure out 100 grams of protein that is really very little just shy of 4 oz.  I followed the diet religiously.  I am not a fan of the oolong tea so I just drank the green tea and the yerba matte tea sweetend with the stevia. For my veggies, I ate heirloom tomatoes, cucumbers, and celery. I had the apple or grapefruit as a snack about 2 hours after my meal. I live in Houston where it is hot, hot, hot, so I am used to drinking a great deal of water.I drink 3 - 32oz bottles of water a day. I honestly don't know what kind of results you'll have eating less protein. In the book, they say that with the hcg and the protein you do eat you're right above the protein defiecncy mark. Have you gotten started yet?

I go to pick up my shots Friday and see the Dr for the 1st time.  I was also told that they would do and EKG which is standard for this Dr..  Then he would give me a diet designed for me to go along with the shots.   I hope its more than 800 calories!!  I'm a BIG GIRL....I'll starve!!  Ha! Ha!

Do you eat fish or seafood or some other souce of LEAN protein?   I haven't heard of anyone else eating something other than these things.   BTW - I'm a big girl too and have not really had a problem with being hungry.  I did find myself being hungryon Friday's but realized I'm used to going out for a big lunch and then out for drinks and appetizers with my friends after work. Just have to get that thru my head...can't do.  But otherwise I've been fine.  You can do this!

Nope...I don't do the fish or seafood thing either.  Starting to sound like I may have to learn to like these things.  That is my biggest fear is that I won't succeed because of my food likes and dislikes...  Say a little prayer for me
Thanks for all the GREAT advise!!

protein is found in many sources, like eggs, milk, tofu, soy milk, ..the list is very long.

the diet everyone is raving about tells you to eat 100g of meat, (depending on which meat, it will give you anywhere from 8-30 g protein in each) and we all know protein is essential. Fish is just the highest protein, with the lowest carbs and natural omegas. So its considered the best., but you can get it almost from anything.

you can get good food lists from googling "protein sources"
