hcg injections to readytsf

by blondmomma, Apr 23, 2007 12:00AM
I so want to begin taking the Hcg Injections and am reading that a lot of you are doing the injections yourself.  If I wasn't such a chicken of needles I would just go for it.  How painful is it and I guess it can't be that bad with really thin needles.  I assume that if you went to a doc and had the injections done the price would be quite a bit higher and not so bad if you purchased the HCG and did you own injections.  Please someone tell me your thoughts on this.  I need to loose 30 to 40 lbs that just won't budge no matter what I do.  I was thin all of my life and then I had a neck injury and other traumas in my life over the last few years and am 40 lbs heaver.  I have spent a ton of money to lose weight and my weight does not budge...so frustrating.  I live in Santa Barbara., CA - does anyone know of clinics in CA that deal with HCG injections?

No one is more afraid of  needles than me I'm on my fifth day and I have gotten use to them. I'm using a 3ccX25gX 1.5 needle and it really does not hurt.  My daughter is an RN and she showed my how to do the injections and it works out fine, read my post for today about the weight loss!

I'm so impressed that you lost that weight in a short period of time...it has taken me weeks to lose a lb if I'm lucky.  I need the injections and you have helped to convince me that I can give myself these injections if you, a chicken, too, can do it.  Where do you get your needles and HCg...I'm so ready to try this as nothing else works for me.  I'm even kickboxing again and so far no weight loss!  Thanks!

several years ago I began getting allergy shots and my insurance company said in order for them to continue to pay for them I would have to give my
self the injections.  I still remember my first one, I literally broke out in a cold sweat!  Once I actually did the first one, I was fine. Now a shot is nothing to me.  Hang in there, you can do it.

Thanks for your encouraging message; I'm working on ordering the HCG and will definitely order the skinniest of needles which I'm assuming is 1.5.  Did you start off at a clinic or did you just begin on your own

actually 1.5 is the needle length, I have 1/2 inch which given in the upper thigh is long enough. The skinny part is the gage, lowest number is fattest needle. I use 30 gage (very skinny)  hope this helps.
