HI. I was wanting to know if we could get an update on your progress with transfomations.  I am thinking of starting with them in Lake Mary.wanted to know how much weight to expect to lose the first month. what is the expected time to lose 40 pounds?  what are the prices?  Just trying to get your overall opinion of the clinic. any help would be greatly appreciated. thank you.

Hi there!

I am at the staet of week 6 - have lost 12 pounds so far.  I had a total of 16 pounds to lose, so I am getting close!  HOORAY!

I do not take the diet pills, just the Hcg.  It is approx $35 for 5 injections.  They also sell vitamins, chromium, and calcium but I don't buy those either.

The folks at the clinic are very nice, although the wait times are ridiculous.  For the weekly/bi-weekly weigh in and blood pressure and more med visits it takes at least 30 minutes - frustrating for me because I go with a child!

I am concluding, however, that it is not the hcg that is working for me.  It is the low calorie diet and watching my fat intake.  I am not sure I will continue with the hcg.

Best of Luck with your weight loss!

I have 3 children and most likely would have to bring my youngest with me. she is 4.  12 pounds in 6 weeks is not bad, but it is deffinitly not what i would have thought with hcg. I seem to read a lot of people who are losing like 5 pounds or more a week. Are you dissapointed in the program?  I wonder if I were to invest in the other things they offer if weightloss would be more?!  I need to lose about 40 pounds. I have tried diet after diet. I really need to find something to help so that I don't get into a health risk. My mother suffers everyday with her weight and is in bad health because of it. I don't want that to happen to me. HOw many injections will they allow you to have. do they cut you off at a certain point?

sorry for all the questions

I am given 5 injections at a time - a 1 week supply as you take 2 days off each week.  It is an 8 week program, then you take 3 weeks off - no meds, no nothing and intake increases to 1600 calories.  Then you go back on for 8 more weeks and it continues until you reach your goal weight.

I am not sure, but I think the people who rapidly lose large amounts of weight have a great deal to lose...that's my un-scientific theory.  I only had 15 pounds to lose - losing it in 2 weeks seems crazy to me.  A person suggested the rate of weight loss depends on the amount of stage 2 (or maybe it was 3?) fat you have...the less you have the slower the loss.

I lost 6 pounds the first week, and nothing the second week - although they said I lost 11 inches - not sure about that either as it is so easily manipulated depending on how tight you pull the tape measure.

I do know several people who have lost considerable amounts of weight at Transformations.  I think it is worth a try...I will probably stick it out for the 8 weeks and then decide how to proceed.  I am feeling guily today - cheated on Saturday at a birthday party - a piece of delicious cake!  But, heck...I am going to keep my healthy eating habits forever so a piece of cake every now and then isn't going to keep me out of my size 4 jeans!

Best of luck!

It is hard to say exactly how long you will take to lose your desired weight. Most people are overeaters or undereaters. Depending on what type you are will make a difference how much/fast you will lose weight.

One of the reasons people lose weight is when they switch to only drinking water. That is probably why JustJill70 lost her 6 lbs in the first week. Many men lose a lot of weight in the first week because of the water thing.

Also, the hCG helps more with the inches lost rather than the lbs lost. Although she didn't think believe them, she could have actually lost the amount of inches reported.

As she said earlier, it is $32.50 for a week's worth of shots (5 per pack).

by liljen, Apr 23, 2007 12:00AM
ok, so this is a little more encouraging :)

so for 32.50 I get a 5 pack of shots. I have to inject these myself? or do I go somewhere to inject?

which transformations office do you use? I am closest to Lake Mary, was just wondering your opinion on that one if it is the one you use.

Inches are always good to lose :) I have heard you lose inches before pounds. so that is always a plus. right?

I also go to the Lake Mary office. You will be shown on your first visit how to do the injections. They are the kind diabetics use, so they are really tiny. I didn't have any problems giving them to myself, but if you do you can go in daily or have someone else give them to you.

My friends and I all like the inches better because we can start buying a smaller size in our clothes. Yes, the lbs are nice, but a lot of times you notice the inches too. That is what the hCG will help with.

Just like JustJill70, I only am doing the injections without the appetite suppressants. I haven't found that I was extra hungry, so I don't feel the need to ever get them. I did, however, use some of the natural products that are offered.

by liljen, Apr 23, 2007 12:00AM
are you just doing shots then?  what type of natural products do they offer?

I think I may go ahead and try there. They seem to offer a good amount of things. I must be confused. I thought the HCG was an appetite suppresent, no? hmmm...

what kind of diet do they put you on?  and how do you know if you stage 1,2,3 of fat? I saw that written somewhere as well.  i need to lose some extra baby weight. I have 3 children  and the last two were pretty close together that my body never fully recovered from the first one.

thank you for all your input.

Wasn't the water for me...I haven't had anything but water to drink for over 10 years...Made myself a promise I could drink whatever I wanted after I had 10 glasses of water.  After 10 glasses of water I am not thirsty!

I heard initial weight los is from the body expelling glycogen - not even sure what that is, but that's what I heard.

My metabolism was probably really slow - I skipped breakfast and sometimes lunch.  I ate high fat foods and never paid attention to calories or what went into my body.

All of my clothes are too big - I have dropped at least 1 size, probably 2.  I haven't weighed in in over a week - but I am sure (even with my cheat) that I have lost a few more pounds, probably getting close to my goal weight!

I go to the Oviedo clinic.  Everyone is awesome - friendly, patient...just not quick.  My 2 year old tears up the waiting room, well, at least he tries!

Best of luck to my central florida friends!  Keep in touch!

No, hCG is just a hormone and not a natural appetite suppressant. That is why they offer appetite suppressants in addition to the hCG.

Yes, I am just doing the injections and the 800 calorie diet. They do a low fat diet.

Transformations does a 2 phase process. Phase 1 is the weight loss part of it and that is done for 8 weeks, then you will go on Phase 2 for 3 weeks. Phase 2 is when you increase your calories and you try to revitalize your metabloism. Then, if you are not at your goal you go back on Phase 1.

If you will go to their website and to their store, you can see all of the natural products that they offer. They each tell you what they do, so you can see for yourself.

I did the transformations protocol from mid-August to the beginning of January and went from 180lbs to 140 in that time (I'm 5'7") with all of the inches I lost I went from a 14 to a 6 at Banana Repuplic and similar clothing stores.  From January to now (end of March) the most I have every gained was about 4 pounds during my cycle week...during which I eat anything I can find! But lost it almost as soon as that week was over.  I have started again because I would like to lose a little more for the summer time, you know the dreaded swimsuit season.

Although the weight loss ended up equaling out to about 2 pounds a week (including the off hcg weeks) I am VERY happy with my results and the small amount of time it took.  I have tried for YEARS to lose the weight and no amount of diet and exercise did the trick.

I am convinced the HCG and not just the diet did the trick because there were SEVERAL weeks where I definitely cheated (and not just having a handful of almonds or something like that) and still lost weight/inches when I went for my weekly weigh in.

Something that really helped me was to weigh myself every morning right after going to the bathroom and with no clothes and an empty stomach, I read somewhere that is your "true weight".  It helped me stay accountable and if I noticed any slight increase I would reign in the diet that day and viola, the next day it was gone.
