lexapro and losing weight

by marie-france, Jun 09, 2007 12:00AM
I was on Lexapro for almost 2 years, gained a lot of weight, withdrawn from Lexapro one month ago, eat very little, exercise 40 minutes daily and I am still gaining weight. Somebody could gell me how long it will take to be able to loss weight; i am really frustrated.

I'd just like to update everyone, because I'm seeing the light at the end of the tunnel lol  I decided to wean myself off my Lexapro because of the weight issue, and so far it's going really well. I took half a pill each day for the past week, and today I started on a quarter pill. While I have had some very muted "brain zaps," I haven't really noticed any other side effects. I did find myself getting overly annoyed once or twice in certain situations, but when I realized getting that angry didn't make any sense, I was able to control myself. So if you've decided to get off Lexapro as well, remember it's all about a positive (or at least, not negative) attitude!!  Good luck, everyone.
