HI, I am 31 years old and the mother of 2 girls. I am 5'4 and a half and I weigh 194 pounds. I have tried to loose weight and I just cant seem to get it off. My biggest weaknessWeakness is sweets and cola's. I have back problems and it limits my ability to exercise. Is there anyone that knows of any diet medication I can take and a good diet to go on? Please let me know.

Misty, Misty,
How I understand what you are going through. I am a mother of three and very overweight. It has taken me almost 10 years to finally find the motivation to be healthier and lose weight. I finally went to EBAY and bought the WEIGHT WATCHERS BEGINNERS PACK and started out on my own. I don't go to the meetings because I don't like group settings like that. I just started by finding how many points I could have and then one by one I started trading the junk for something healthy. The firstFirst progesterone mc10 First progesterone mc5 First-progesterone vgs 100 First-progesterone vgs 200 First-progesterone vgs 25 First-progesterone vgs 400 First-progesterone vgs 50 First-testosterone First-testosterone mc thing I did was switch from regular soda to diet. I am a chip junkie myself, so instead of not having any, I switched to the baked kind. Instead of a candy bar for a snack I switched to my favorite veggies and a dip.
Making changes like that has added up and in a 5 month time frame, I have lost 20 pounds. I have stepped up my water intake to 4 glasses a day and I do the two (yes two) simple exercises from Jorge Cruises book 8 MINUTES IN THE MORNING.
I would encourage you to tell yourself that you CAN do it! Instead of saying, I have 50 pounds to lose, make your goal smaller ( I used 5 pounds as my goal) and I found I didnt feel so overwhelmed all the time.
You can do it! If I can, anyone can!!!!! YOU GO GIRL!!!!!
GOOD LUCK. I HOPE IN SOME SMALL WAY I HAVE HELPED. FOR SOME OF US IT'S HARDER THAN OTHERS. JUST REMEMBER, YOU CAN DO IT.
Hey, I'm here with you all. Except I have had six children to include twins and had no problem loosing the weight from childbirth. after I hit 30 everything has been down hill. I am 36 now. I know that my weight gain and lack of energy is stress and emotional eating more than anything. I have been diagnosed with "fibromyalgia" and I do have chronic back pain. However I did ask my doctor to check my thyroid function through blood work because this can be a major contributor to inability to loose weight even with exercise and diet if your thyroid function is low, you will not loose the weight you would if it was up to par. sublingual b12 is great. it has been helping me alot in the energy department. if you get it you want the one with b12, b6, folic acid. also Mangosteen of any kind will help tremendously also. it is all natural and different health food stores have different brands. there is also a new study of putting women on Glucophage which is an oral medicine for diabetes 2 but for a non-diabetic it makes you loose weight and doesn't call diabetes or drop your blood sugars. woman are seeing great results. I am a Registered Nurse by the way. It is nice to know that you're not the only one out there who feels like you can smell food and gain weight and every doctor tells you to exercise, exercise and you have this look like, when or how am i suppose to do that. (smile) I best exercise program i found for back problems or not a lot of energy requirements and that actually works is Windsor Pilates. It is over in 20 minutes and you feel so relax and energetic and you didn't have to jump and bounce around all over the place like TaeBo or something. I am 5'3 and 173lbs. the heaviest I have ever been and have been very depressed about this. hate to go shopping any more. but this all happened after i stopped the above mention things i told you about. I am waiting on blood results for my thyroid as we type and then i am going to ask about the Glucophage if my thyroid is ok and try that for a little while. lets keep it together ladies.
I dont know where you live, but im here to spread the word about this fantastic doctor that i found in beverly hills. actually he was recomended by someone else on this website. in the vitamin B12 section written by andreap.
anyway......this doctor is a weight loss specialist (a bariatric physician they are called) they are different than bariatric surgeons because they help you lose weight non-surgically.
ok...anyway....He uses this fat burning formula shot. he states that the ingrediant which is b12/b complex/ and 4 amino acids that burn fat was well formulated by another Doctor that used it successfully for 30 years. And now he uses it.
I go to his office every two weeks for this shot and I feel wonderful. GREAT ENERGY!!!! and im losing weight. he also has cheap phentermine. But thats besides the point.
THIS SHOT IS DOING THE WORK!!!!!
if you are in southern California go see him. he is to cheap for someone who is in beverly hills. call him and tell him I have so much energy that im spreading the word about him.

I am interested in your comments about Glucophage - My partner was diagnosed Diebetic Type 2 last year - he was given Glucophage and the side affects were horrible for him - it gave him awful stomach problems and sickness - he was eventually put on another medication - he hasn't lost much weight though and he needs to although he has cut out all the baddies for diabetes sugary and high fat foods - I find it alarming that someone who isn't diabetic is taking diabetic medication - because regardless of what you have been told Glucophage does reduce blood sugar levels - if you are Type 2 it doesn't bring you below the safe levels - but if you have normal blood sugar levels I would worry that this drug could damage you.
I wish I could shout from the rooftops to everyone ( that includes me) that there isn't a 'Safe' pill invented to help reduce weight - not one, nada.
I WAS HAVING THE SAME PROBLEM YOU ARE HAVING NOW DONT WORRY I AM PRETTY SURE ALOT OF WOMEN ARE GOING THRU THIS SAME PROBLEM ALL YOU NEED IN YOU IS ALOT OF FAITH BELIEVE IN YOURSELF ACCOMPLISH YOUR GOALS. WHAT IS ONE OF THE MOST IMPORTANT REASON FOR YOU TO LOOSE THIS WEIGHT. MINE WAS MY KIDS I TOLD MY SELF SEVERAL TIMES I HAVE TO I HAVE TO. THIS IS THE ONLY WAY GET TO SEE MY CHILDREN GROW UP I CANT GIVE MY CHILDREN A BAD EXAMPLE I CANT LET THEM SEE ME BEING OVERWEIGHT. I WOULDNT WANT THEM TO GO THROUGH THE SAME WAY I AM GOING AND THAT IS DYING IF I DONT MOTIVATE MYSELF TO LOOSE THE WEIGHT. SO THATS WHAT I DID I STARTED EATING HEALTHY EXERCISING THREE TIMES A WEEK AND NO EATING AFTER 6:30 AND I HAVE LOOSEN 100LBS IT TOOK ALOT OF WORK I STILL HAVE MORE TO GO BUT I KNOW THAT I CAN ACCOMPLISH IT. I HAVE ALOT OF SUPPORT FROM MY HUSBAND AND FAMILY. AND I WILL PRAY FOR YOU TO ACCOMPLISH YOUR DREAM NEVER GIVE UP THATS THE LAST THING THAT YOU CAN DO
Hi everyone. I need some help. I am 24 years old and I weigh 194lbs at 5'2. I have an 18 month daughter, and am a childcare provider at home. I just can't seem to loose my baby weight. I recently got off birth control thinking that would help but not as much as I though. I have absolutely no energy during the day and find it hard not to nibble. I'm trying to do a low carb diet, but that is hard as well. Any advice would be very helpful. I'm so disgusted with myself and want to loose weight so badly, but just can't seem to do it. By the time the daycare kids go home, cleaning house, cooking, studying. I'm exhausted. HELP!
Hey! I just made an appt to start the b12/ lipo shots in two weeks! I've heard a lot of great things about it! I'm alot like you...have baby weight (a lot of it!) and no energy to lose it! So, i've looked into this, i know of a few girls that have done it and every1 of them love it...it gives you energy and melts the fat away! I haven't heard from any1 any bad side effects except you loose fat!! lol And if you are really busy...you can do it 1 time or 2 times a week! I'm going to be doing it twice a week b/c the center im going to is two blocks down from where i work! let me know if you think you wanna do it!! Good luck!!
Hello girls. Just wanted to share my story. Six months ago, after feeling really unhealthy for quite some time. I decided to see the doctor. I just turned 39. I am 5'2" and weighed 244 back in January. A week after my initial doctors appointment, I had to return for the results. It turned out that my cholesterol was very high and I was very close to getting heart disease and being diabetic. My doctor does not prescribe pills just because you ask for them. She told me I had to try to lose the weight by myself first. So I put my self on a low fat, low carb diet. I pretty much stopped eating anything that was bad for me. No more fried food. No more potatoes. No more pasta. No more tortillas or white bread. We eat a lot of mexican food in our family, so you can imagine what a lifestyle change this has been for all of us. I hate grocery shopping, so you can imagine me having to read every label on every product I picked up. Seemed like I was in the store forever. I had no trouble in the beverage area, since all I drink is water. I stopped with coffee in the morning, because I like it with alot of sugar and half and half. I use to drink a sode once in awhile, with a burger and fries. Or maybe iced tea once in awhile. Now I just drink more water. At least a gallon a day. I also started on my treadmill 6 days a week. I started out at 20 minutes. I worked my way up to an hour (3 miles) a day. Three months later, returning to the doctors office, I had lost about 22 pounds. My cholesterol level had also dropped significantly. My doctors office was starting a new program called the B12 and Hope project. Since I didn't think I was losing fast enough I asked my doctor about it. It was B12, phentermine and suppliments. I was a good candidate for it. The first two weeks I lost 10 pounds. Since then I have only lost about 15 more. But even though I have slowed down quite a bit, I think I am doing great. I also slacked of on the treadmill quite a bit. So I'm sure that has a lot to do with it. Along with the project, she gave me a diet to follow. It's pretty simple and easy, but can get really tiring. My weight dropped from 244 to 196. Sorry for carrying on so much. But I just wanted you all to know that you are not alone. It took me about 11 years to put that weight on and now I hope to have it off by the first of the year. If someone would have told me you need to go on a diet. I would have told them to mind there own business. The fact is, my husband never once complained about my weight and the only time it bothered me, was when I had to find something dressy to wear. At 39, I think I am still really young and I want to hold on to my health and youth as long as I can. LOL!
i can relate to your story! I haven't always been big but when my boyfriend and i get invited to a friends party or anything, he says "go get you a nice outfit" ok- well, thats easlier said than done! I hate shopping!! And im tired of not being able to wear a 2 peice! im 23 and i don't feel my age at all! b/c i don't know any girls my age that has this problem! i've had only 1 child! But if you saw my body... you'd think i had twins! and it's been 4 years! So, i know how it is to hate to shop! but that will change soon! As i said b4 im starting the shots and pills and im gonna lose all my fat, tone my hole body and be healthier for me and my son! (and then im gonna shop til i drop lol)
I've always been chunky all my life but not so big after I had my second baby. After having my baby I felt stressed and I was that kind of person that would eat everytime when stressed. I weight 256 at the beginning of the year 2007 and one of my resolutions was to loose weight. Today August 10, 2007 weight 185, I did get in a pill call Adipex that takes your cravings away but I also changeg my eating habits and started exercise. All this combine has help me loose all this weight but the key word is not the diet pills. The question is, Are you ready to loose the weight having that in mind, will help you succeed. Let me tell you it is hard loosing weight but once you see the results you will not go back. By the way, I'm 24 years old and 5 "3.One more last thing, if you decide to loose weight the first thing you have to do is talked to a doctor and then go home and throw away all the junk food cookies, chocolates ,doughnuts, chips, ect. It is a lie that kids want them your kids will get trained to eat healthy too. I'm still working with my daughter that is 5 years old and is overweight too. It's hard but YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you for sharing your story. Well, I'm 33 and 5'4. I have a 4 year old child When I started the HCG diet, I weighed 196lbs (27 July 07). As of this morning, I weigh 182lbs. I would suggest that you look it up. Just google Dr Simeons weight loss protocol. Just a suggestion. I also take phentermine to curb my appetite. Good luck in whatever diet you go on. You can do it!!!!!
I think you have posted on both of my threads. I have been doing the shots and pill for 2 weeks and Ive lost 8lbs. Not as much as i wish, but i have started walking yet, so I'm starting that tonight. I am glad that i have lost 8lbs tho! I think i will have to start taking a hole pill each day b/c they aren't working as good in the PM! well, Good luck to all!!
