signifigant weight gain

by annmarie905, Jul 02, 2009 06:31PM
I was diagnaosed with post partum depression after my first son. Hes now 11 and with my 2nd son who now 10 i was diagnosed with major depression cuz it kept recurring. I have been on every ssri there probly is plus an antiphyschotic Abilify . They are both only10 mg. They work well for me. I havent been severely depressed in about 6 years. the problem, I was about 160-165 when i started taking ad's and now i am a whopping 245lbs. YUP  If anything is depressing me now its my weight. Ive tried ww and it worked for a bit til it became to expensive for me to do. Ive tried lowereing carbs intake which for me is a joke. Now i am exercising more than b4 and watching what i eat but have only lost inches according to Curves measurements. scale #'s dont budge. I am now seriously considering the lap band or reducing the anti depressants, or askin ob to prescrib diet pill. I am sad in my skin. i have never had a weight prob til the anti depressants. I guess my question is anyone with similar situation? Any suggestions? I also have been diagnosed with sleep apnea and doc says it s due to the significant weigh gain. HELP!
