my program was 6 weeks on and 3 weeks off.  I'm just finishing the first 6 weeks and I have lost 23 lbs.  I started at over 200lbs and cheated several times.  Hope that helps.

are you taking just shots or are you doing appetite suppresents too? I have several options apparently. I would like to have the best and quickest results possible. are you on a special diet? do you do any extra excersise??? just some questions...thanks for your help.

Are you all doing hcg injections?  I would love to hear some success stories on that.  I'm thinking about doing it myself.

From records on the Yahoo hcgdieters site Database, it appears that those with the most weight to lose are losing more lbs per day. Generally, those that weight 200 or more are losing 1 lb to 2 lbs a day (with men at the higher end). Those that start at 160-190 are losing 1/2 lb to a lb a day (again with men at the higher end).  Keep in mind these are very, very general. There are a few losing over 2 lbs a day, and some losing less than 1/2 lb a day.  What the database doesn't tell you is how well they are following the hcg protocol and
if they are exercising.

The way it works is that you do the first part for 8 wks and then do the 3 wk (Phase II) off. Then, if you are not yet at your goal weight, you will go back to the diet, hCG, & appetite suppressants. You will do this for as long as it takes to reach your goal weight. It is hard to say specifically how long it will take.

Most people are only doing a month on Phase 1.  In fact you are the first I heard who is doing 8 wks in Phase 1.  If you do all 60 items Kevin listed, it would probably take you that long, but I don't believe anyone is doing all 60, nor do I believe they need to!!!  The cleanses seem to be the most important.  Some things KT lists of those 60 under Phase 1, his comments are 'would be better in Phase 3' so I think he was just rushing to try and get the book out!

Per the original Dr Simeon Document:  Phase 2 can be longer than 21 days.  If you don't have much to lose, 21 days is the recommended minimum. The recommended max days is 40 before you 'take a 6 week break'. The purpose of the break: the hcg will quit working after a while if you don't take that 6 week break.  So if you have 50 lbs to lose, and lose 38 in the 40 days of phase 2, you have to take a 6 week break, then resume Phase 2 to lose the remaining 12 lbs.

I may have my info wrong as to the number of weeks on and off. As I am reading these other posts here, I see that most are about 6 weeks. so you are saying that most people are getting to their goal weight within the 2 to 3 month time frame? as a general database goes, right?

The program that I am doing is BASED on the RESEARCH of Dr. Simeons. So, it is not going to go exactly along with his program. The way that Transformations does the program is that you are on the diet and hCG/medications for 8 wks and then do the 3 wk (Phase II) off. You are also not required to do any cleansing and you eat 5 times a day.

The following paragraphs were copied and pasted here directly from Dr Simeon's Document about the HCG Diet (Pounds and Inches). Doesn't sound like Transformations is following his plan, which is very disappointing to me because I start there Monday. Over the phone, they said they did follow Dr Simeon's plan.

From Dr Simeon's Document:

When a patient has more than 15 pounds to lose the treatment takes longer but the maximum we give in a single course is 40 injections, nor do we as a rule allow patients to lose more than 34 lbs. (15 Kg.) at a time. The treatment is stopped when either 34 lbs. have been lost or 40 injections have been given. The only exception we make is in the case of grotesquely obese patients who may be allowed to lose an additional 5-6 lbs. if this occurs before the 40 injections are up.

Immunity to HCG:   The reason for limiting a course to 40 injections is that by then some patients may begin to show signs of HCG immunity. Though this phenomenon is well known, we cannot as yet define the underlying mechanism. Maybe after a certain length of time the body learns to break down and eliminate HCG very rapidly, or possibly prolonged treatment leads to some sort of counter-regulation which annuls the dencepbahic effect.
After 40 daily injections it takes about six weeks before this so called immunity is lost and HCG again becomes fully effective. Usually after about 40 injections patients may feel the onset of immunity as hunger which was previously absent. In those comparatively rare cases in which signs of immunity develop before the full course of 40 injections has been completed-say at the 35th injection- treatment must be stopped at once, because if it is continued the patients begin to look weary and drawn, feel weak and hungry and any further loss of weight achieved is then always at the expense of normal fat. This is not only undesirable, but normal fat is also instantly regained as soon as the patient is returned to a free diet.

Which Transformation Clinic are you going to?  How is it working for you?

by liljen, Jun 01, 2007 12:00AM
I will start the lake mary office on monday. which are you at?
It doesn't seem that they follow the diet to a T but who knows. People apparently have had good results. They told me that they also have appetite suppresents, is that phetermine?

How many shots does the Transformation Clinic give per week.  If it's only 2 don't waste your money.  You need at least 5 or 6 shots per week.

by Tman875, Jun 04, 2007 12:00AM
Transformations does a 5 on/2 off program. For your first week, you have to do five days straight, so that you can get the hCG in your system. Then, you can do your 2 days off the days that work best for you. I did the weekends off.

I chose not to do any appetite suppressants, but I know some people who take Phendimetrazine and some that take Phentermine. I think they may do other types of appetite suppressants, but don't know what those are.

I did the program about a year ago and lost 20 lbs at the Lake Mary office. I have gained a few pounds back but have maintained my weight.
