surviving on 500 calories and HCG

by dontstoptiludrop, May 20, 2007 12:00AM
Can anyone out there really explain how they actually felt when staring the HCG diet?  500 calories are not alot.  Are you really not hungry and do cravings go away and how quickly?

I felt great and energized, the only time I was hungry was in the morning when I woke up.  When I started moving about the hunger went away.

I have been on the protocol for 2 weeks and have had little to no hunger at all.  The evenings are the worst for cravings since I would normally have a little something for dessert every night...it's more of a psychological thing.  It is truly amazing how this really does work!!  My husband is also on it and he was king of fast food and fried foods...he's doing EXTREMELY well with hunger and cravings as well!!!

The program that I was on did 800 calories. I only did hCG and the diet, and found that the first week that I was hungry. I was ready for each of the 5 times that you ate. It wasn't as though I was ravenous, but I was definatly hungry. After the hCG got into my system, I found that I was a lot less hungry and that I was hungry if I didn't eat, but wasn't starving.

In the first few days I remember lying awake at 4;30 in the morning listening to my stomach growl.  Also I felt a little weak and my mental clarity was not great.  All of that quickly passed.  I felt great most of the time.  If I was prticularly hungry for a day or 2, I ate a little more.  When I had PMS food cravings I completely cheated and ate anything I wanted for a couple of days and then went back on track.  It worked great for me.  22 lbs in 6 weeks.
