There is a thread further down in the forum that will probably address your questions better.  Just keep scrolling down.  Good Luck

What you're not hearing alot about these b12 and hcg shots are the fact that most doctors or weight loss clinics also prescribe an appetite suppressant and some even prescribe fluid pills.  Also, they give you diet plans to follow.  It's not a program to make weight magically fall off.  It's a program that provides you with tools to help you along while you make a conscious effort to lose weight.
Most people losing alot in the first few weeks are losing alot of water weight because of the medications.  In order for it to continually work long term, you have to make changes.  You'll get energy from the shots and hopefully, the meds will help with the hunger.  Another reason it has been successful is because you know you're going in to weigh in every week and you become more accountable for your actions.
Alot of us, myself included, have looked for a quick fix or a magic pill, but the reality is...nothing is long term unless you make a lifestyle change.  Any diet you follow or pill you take will stop working if you slack up and continue with the lifestyle you led to get you at the weight you're at now.

I agree with everything you say.  I am taking the shots myself and lost 6 lbs. the first week, however.....after reading some of the postings in here where people are desperate for something to help them lose weight, I wanted to make it clear that this is not weight loss without effort, at least not long term.  Everyone DOES lose water weight at first, especially if they are taking the medication.  Someone that continues to lose weight, does it because they are consuming fewer calories and possibly working out.  The point of my story was this is not a magic weight loss solution where you can just go pay for a shot and eat all you want and still lose weight.  The appetite suppressant might make you not want to eat now, but most places cycle you on for 8 weeks and off for 2 weeks.  The reason for doing that is because, yes, the medicine will make your appetite go away, therefore making it easy now, but they don't want you to live on the medication so they take you off after 8 weeks and hopefully by that time, your stomach will shrink, you will be used to smaller portion sizes and so forth.  I was not knocking the program, because I'M ON IT!!  I just know how many people out there want something to work "for them" instead of "with them".

  Thank You ALL!!
I think I'll look in to this more. I'm not a bad eater in fact
I dont eat much at all. I would say most of all my weight came
to me after I hurt my back.

Having to be off my feet and the meds.I was on at the time I put on a good 60 lbs. I was able to get 20 off and have 40-45 togo.

Dose anyone's Ins. help with the cost???

Hi Group,
As a person who is also trying to lose weight, it takes EFFORT to get results! I find it strange hearing so many people aiming to lose 10lbs a week! A healthy loss of 2 lbs per week is recommended by MOST doctor’s for healthy weight loss! AGAIN I REPEAT– FOR HEALTHY WEIGHT LOSS! In as much as pills and or shots are used to aid in the development of weight loss, there must be some life style changes. Such changes include better eating habits, exercise, and for the most part WISDOM and KNOWLEDGE of weight loss. Without these changes, pills and or shots will only be partially effective. As an over weight person, you have to do something to initiate weight loss. In as much as pills and or shots help, they cannot do the total thing for you. Do your part to equalize LASTING RESULTS. Not too many people became FAT over night. Likely, weight loss shouldn’t be expected to be an over night loss. Change does happen, but it doesn’t happen like a microwave fix– Beep... You’re skinny! Gradual changes will equalize Maximum results. Stay positive and do your part.

In the soup with you!

To: everyone
hi well am in a weight loss center and its working great for me its a 3 month plan were I  TArget to loss 30 pounds .  I started 181 and right now am in 153 I have lost so many inches.  From a size 13 to a size 7 and I still have one more month to go.  Eventually as time goes by I LOSE WEIGHT slower so i recomend everyone don't take pills or SHOTS...  IT SOUNDS EASY BUT IT TAKES ALLOT OF WILL POWER but trust me once you start to loose the weight and start feeling human again its all worth it.  I had never tried any pills or shots because friends have tried it before and they all gain that weight back.
I was afraid of that so I WENT the hard way and it worked.  The best part is that you learn how to eat right and how to be satisfied without junk or fast food  now all my friends tell me i look great.
