I am 29 years old and this past year have gone through thyroid cancer and a total thyroidectomy. I am currently on synthroid and my TSHPituitary and tsh Tsh levels are good, but despite diet and exercise I can not lose weight. I am 5'2" and 190 lbs. I am so depressed. I am not normally this big. I gained weight with both my pregnancies, but the thyroid has put me over the edge. I made an appointment with my doctor for Friday. Are there any meds or anything else he can do to help me? Any suggestions of what to ask for?
If anyone else has info. they would like to share it would be great.
