Thanks Kittengamer- will take a look :) x
We just got a workout video that breaks up workouts like you have Tigerlily. There is a 15 min arm, 15 core, & 15 leg workouts. At the moment we have a roatating schedule planned that goes something like Day 1: arms & core Day 2: core & legs Day 3: legs & arms & then repeat. Should be interesting to see how it works. We can't keep up with the whole routines yet, but we try.
The arm routine is a lot of tricep, chest, shoulder, upper back, & even more triceps. Before we got the video I was doing mostly tricep curls. The one that really kicks my butt in the routine is the tricep pushups. Talk about pain! livestrong has some great instruction vids on youtube. I am using some of those for working on my form.
Thanks tigerlilly, I just hate my upper arms and would love to wear vest tops (if my chest allows for it at some point) lol
There are tons of videos on you tube for arm exercises. This might help to be able to see them being done instead of just reading about them. I know it's easier for me anyway. I think 20 min. a week on your arms would be enough. I do 20 on arms, 20 on legs, and 20 on core per week. The weight your using is also good, your at 3. I use 3 and 5. If you go up I wouldn't go up more than that.
Ohhh have to have a look for something like that - thanks :) x
Those all sound good. I have the Wii Active Personal Trainer which comes with a resistance band that kinda reminds me of a skipping rope.... I was thinking that this summer while we are camping/vacationing I could get some kind of similar band to take along. Anyways, the point of this comment is that they do all sorts of arm exercises with it - bicep curls, lateral bicep curls, etc. If you could get a band of some sort like that it would be easy enough to do without the system as well.
