What Would You Do On Vacation?

I have no trouble packing up the picnic basket for outings or eating the occasional Subway sandwich while out to keep my weight in check but we are going out to be going out of town over night and on to two different day outings while my hubby is on vacation. We've never had a vacation that actually consists of leaving the house so I haven't really been far from home since losing all this weight. I'm worried I'll pig out for 10 days and gain 10 pounds. I don't want to be busting out of all my clothes and going to bed with indigestion but I still want to have a nice time. How do I keep myself in check. I'm a binge eater and once let off my leash there seems to be no turning back. I don't want my eating problems to get in the way of my fun. What would you do and do you have these troubles?

Thanks! I was planning on bringing plenty of water. I don't drink pop much anymore but hate the idea of paying 2.50-3.00 for a bottle of water.

I also plan on bringing a small cooler to keep fruit and cheese and stuff like that.

I'm really going to try to keep myself in control. Wish me luck!

One thing I did while we were on our recent camping trip was to drink flavoured water instead of pop. I really liked the Aquafina ones b/c they are 0 cal but do have some sodium, but I figured its still waaay better then drinking pop! There are other flavoured waters that have a few calories but less sodium but we all preferred the taste of the Aquafina flavoured waters.

I also stuck with the lower fat and/or higher fibre options when I had a choice. We also took along high fibre cereal (Shreddies, Wheaties, etc) to munch on dry in the car instead of chips for the drive and the even the kids did not complain at all!

Hope you have a fun trip!
