Weight loss pose surgery

I had a gastric balloon fired about 4 years ago and it cost around £4,000 as I wasn't heavy enough for a band! It was promised by the surgeon that I would lose around 4stone. However I only lost 2 stone and that was due to the 10 days of sickness after my op.  I did not feel the balloon at all, so I'm now wondering if I should try the pose surgery?? Or will it be as unsuccessful as the balloon. Please help as I have managed to save £1,800 and don't want to throw  good money after bad!!
