Post abortion questions help

Please no bashing on.

I had an surgical abortion on April 22 I had no bleeding after nor do I now. I had sex ( PROTECTED ) using condoms on May 6th and May 11. I decided to take a pregnancy test because I was curious hoping it would be negative but when I took it the control line was dark purple like it should be but then there was a faint line in the other part but not immediately maybe 2 or 3 minutes after I peed on the stick. Then after a few minutes got a tiny bit darker but still really pink not purple like the control line. Do you think I could have fallen pregnant again? It's been 3 weeks since my abortion and we used condoms we were really careful. OR is it possible it's still showing a positive because the left over hormones in my body? I was 8 weeks when I had my abortion. Ps my husband did pulled out when we used the condom as well so nothing got out or in. Please help someone! I'm not having any symptoms or anything and I haven't gotten my period but then again they just told me it would come back in a few weeks.

First of all, no bashing allowed on this forum.  :>)  This is a safe place to discuss abortion.  It's a woman's right to have one for WHATEVER reason with no guilt involved.

So, this is a really good question.  First, let me say that post abortion there are guidelines they want women to follow including NO sex for usually around 6 weeks.  It's a procedure that you must heal from and doctors want you to have an appointment to be checked post abortion to give you the go ahead for sex.

You 'could' still have left over hormones in your system from the pregnancy.  I would wait to see if you get a period soon since it has been three weeks since the procedure.  If you don't in say a week or two, then take another test.  If it is still positive, it will be time for that post abortion check by a doctor and you'll need to have a discussion about the positive tests them.  good luck hon
