It all depends on your body and how much of the hormone is left. If your trying, it's strongly suggested that you wait until you get AF because during a D&C they scrape out the lining and AF will replace and give a plush place for a baby to attach to.
I didn't bleed for more than 12 hours after my D&C, then after a full week of no bleeding, I bleed like it was a period even went a full week (but it wasn't). About 2-3 days after the bleeding stopped I ovulated (but we waited until AF to try, and got pregnant the month after).
They say about 5 weeks after the D&C is normal, sometimes sooner, and others it takes longer. If you don't have any bleeding in a week or two it's possible that you may get your period 4 weeks after. It all depends on how long it takes for the hCG hormone to go down.
