lump next to clitoris

i have a large lump next to the right side of my clitoris it is very tender, stings, a little hard, sore, & very painful. i think is getting bigger  it is about the size of a kidney bean or maybe a little bigger. i just noticed this after my period and think it could be some kind of cyst. i have had this for almost a week and it has not gone down. i have been diagnosed with bartholin cyst before and it is Not the same. i am only 21 and have not had sex in a wile. i am also very clean. should i treat this the same way i would bartholin cyst?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
It can be a boil or a cyst. Boils are caused by infection of the hair follicle by staph aureus. . Hair follicles that are blocked by greasy creams, petroleum jelly, or similar products are more vulnerable to infection. Bacterial skin infections can be spread by shared cosmetics or washcloths, close human contact, or by contact with pus from a boil or carbuncle. Treatment includes antibiotics and incision and drainage and do not touch or pick them up.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

I use to get this when i used pads. The sides would irritate and rub down there and cause a lump. It would go away after a week or so but it was so uncomfortable. Since I switched to tampons completely this hasn't happened.  Hope this helped!
