Sounds like she may have a mild case of IC,  which seems to be on the rise - I keep hearing of women who have it.

I have a friend who went on a very strict IC diet and now it's completely under control.

Does this sound like what she has?

We have not had an ultrasound yet.  It does not hurt her to urinate.  The burning comes on at random times; sitting, standing, running....

burning in the bladder? i take it u mean burning on peeing? have they done an ultrasound? it could be something obstructing the outflow from the bladder or affecting pressure. i think soetimes u can get a small stone somewhere. its a tough one.
