16 dpo high temp and negative hpt?

This is my first month temping.  My cycle is usually 28 days long pretty regular with killer pms. I have been ttc for 5 months, I am trying for #3 with new husband. My last af was 3/28/2006 I though I had ovulated on the 09th of april on the 15th of april I had cramping and 4 little spots of pink as I kept taking my temp I figured fertilty friend was wrong or i was doing my temp wrong cause they hadn't given me an o day.  On the 18th of april they gave me the 16th as my o day. I was hoping that the spotting I had on the 15th was implantation bleeding I had never had ib before so I was extra happy. needless to say It wasn't implantation because my af is still missing in action. so it may have been o.  well I am now 16 dpo from the 16th tempature is still up. I have had my usually mood swing pms for the last 5 days actually it has been worse than usual except no phyical symptoms of period. my breast and nipples are tender and kinda sore and i am noticably peeing more.  I know no one on here can tell me if i am pregnant and i will be taking another test in the morning if af doesn't show. My question is Does any one have any idea what else besides pregnancy would make your bbt rise and stay rose?  Sorry I took up so much space

Has your period started?  You might think about going to your
GYN for a pregnancy blood test.  If it is negative, maybe
he will prescribe Provera to jumpstart your period.
Good luck!

Ive heard many complain about fertility friend and I dont know how acurate it is.  Your temp usually stays high around ovulation.  If your temperature stays up for 18 days or more after ovulation, you should test for pregnancy.  (http://www.pinelandpress.com/faq/bbt/bbtfaq.html)
What you saw could have been implantaion bleeding (the spotting) altough many women do not see it.  Take a HPT or go get a blood test done.

Since this is yur first month to temp it's hard to say what's normal for you.  Usually, 18 days of raised temps is an almost sure sign of pregnancy, but it could be that you have a longer LP (number of days from O to AF).  If your temps stay up for another day or two, then test again.  Maybe use a different brand HPT this time too b/c they are all different.  Good luck!  I hope you get your BFP!
