17 weeks 3 days pregnant and cramping.

by aimntrev, Apr 30, 2007 12:00AM
I woke up early this morning on my back (I have been trying not to sleep on my back, I know it's not good) with bad lower tummy cramps,& a full bladder, went to the bathroom and laid back down on my left side eventually they went away.  Is this normal?  I have just started eating a little dairy again, I have had really bad all day sickness, on Zofran everyday.  I haven't had a Zofran in 3 days now. I had a little bit of ice cream last night, so that made me wonder if it was my body trying to digest ice cream.  Also, this happened one time last week, we went out to dinner I had water with dinner (I haven't been drinking with food because it's harder to digest)on my way home I started getting the same cramps, but as soon as I got home I laid on my left side for 20 minutes had a BM and felt better. That makes me think it's digestion. I don't know though, are these cramps normal? Should I call and let my doctors office know? I don't want to bug them if it's just digestion, but I don't want to be wrong.  Have you ever had this? If you've read this far, thank you, and thank you for your advice =)

I can't say for certain ...obviously.. but..
It sounds like maybe you were just backed up a bit.
Try to increase your fluids and maybe add some more fibre to your diet.
I really hope you get a few more responses...as I could be way off.
But it couldn't do any harm..increasing your fluids and fibre intake...
It's good for u anyway!!
Good Luck

I am 17w5d, and have been very crampy....It is especially worse when I have to have a bm.  I have been crampy really this whole pregnancy (4th).  You can and will have more cramps, and possible labor if you don't drink enough water, so make sure you fit that in.  If your not spotting, and keep drinking, you'll be fine.

Call your dr. if your not sure, they very well might tell you the same thing..
Take care
