2 NEGATIVE TESTS AND STILL NO PERIOD!

I have had 2 negative htp's and still no period.  I'm very concerned that I am pregnant, but am showing no other signs of pregnancy other than fatigue.  I'm getting a little acne on my face, but again, another sign that my period is soon aproaching or that I've been working out in the heat more than normal lately.  I'm very concerned.  Are there other reasons that I could be experiencing a lack of period?  I have been under high stress situations the last few weeks at work wtih the hurricane reporting and such, but I din't know if this could ACTUALLY prolong the date of my period and it's scaring me because emotionally, mentally, and physically right now, I am unable to carry a baby.  I just don't think I'd make it with the circumstances I'm currently under.  Any advice would be SOOO helpful!

Hi I'm 23 years old I have two lil girls who are 4 and 3 and ttc for another. My husband and I have been actively trying to get preg for about 5 months now and I've had mirena taken out about 9 months ago. My last period was on Feb 26th and lasted 4 days but now I missed my period. I thought I might be pregnant so I took a test on the 29th of March and again on April 6th...both were negative. So I'm a little worried what might be going on. I kinda feel as though I could be preg but I don't want to get my hopes up...Any suggestions on what could be wrong? Thanks for everyones help and God Bless..

Thank you for your concern and your advice..... by the way I am 38 and I was on the pill to decrease my periods every month....I didnt think I would have to worry about even thinking that I was pregnant, haveing my tubes tied.  I have sevre anemia from a gastric bypass surgery when I was 16 to loose weight.... been anemic ever since, blood transfusions the whole nine yards with all of that....my blood count is really low now and that was why I am really concerned about any kind of pregnancy at all right now espcially an ectopic if the tube were to burst.. I have had no pain at all, no cramping,no odor, no discharge, nothing that would even resemble a period.. and I have checked into clinics ...... up here nothing is free......hopefully I can stop worrying about this and destress myself and maybe I will start....
Thank you Cat so much for answering.....

I have had cysts before which could be a cause of the abnormal periods.  I'm so glad I started today, but unfortunately I'm not having any cramping, so of course I'm still fairly concerned.  I really think I'm just not going to have sex until I'm married.  Part of the reason I ended things with my boyfriend before was because I met a very nice guy who doesn't even consider sex before marriage.  It's what I've always wanted but never had the self esteem to stand up for.  Thanks for all the help from everyone!

I'm sorry that I got 2 posts mixed up. I now know that Steph doesn't live in Canada.
Reallyworried:Once, I was on the pill and stopped taking it for awhile (but I still used protection). It can cause you to have 2 periods a mo. when you go off the pill.It scared me the first time and my Gyn said that was the case.Do you have an OBY/Gyn clinic you can go to?They ususally don't charge anything.Alot of women have problems with cysts too. It runs in my family. Usually, they aren't serious. But sometimes one might burst. That may be the problem. But eventually, you're going to have to look into getting into a clinic or health dept. Depending on your age, You'll have to have pap smears every yr. or so. The sooner you start taking care of female issues, the better.

I just read your latest post. Good news!I don't know how old or young you are Steph,I'm 49 and had to learn things the hard way. When I was 15,I got pregnant.I was forced by my mother to give my baby over to Dept. of Social Services. He's 33 now.I've never laid eyes on him because I was unconscious during labor. I chose not to ever get pregnant again.I'm looking for my only child but can't find him. Please be as careful as you can about not getting pregnant until you're ready. It effects you for the rest of your life.Canada should have some clinic or health dept. where you can get the pill for free.As for periods, a woman's body is so complex. Even stress will cause hormone imbalances that cause delayed periods. As for having 2 periods a mo., that didn't take place until I was around 46.It's usually a premenopausal thing or cysts on your ovaries.Your hormones really get off couse as you get older and female problems get more complicated. So it's hard to say, because even though women have some female problems in common, that doesn't mean it happens to all women. But PLEASE, be careful and take your pill every day. Don't make the mistake I did. Thanks for sharing your good news.

i recently had similar symptoms to yours and kept thinking I was pregnant to. I found out that is was endometriosis. I had to have laporosocpy surgery to find out. It took three years for me to get to the bottom of this problem, so you should possibly mention it to your doctor.

I've had some irregularity.  The three months before my period had all come almost a week early.  I went from having my period in may on the 28th of the month, to having it in August on the 5th.  I am hoping it's not pregnancy because i have ended the relationship I was in and if he found out, he would want to get married (something he is not ready for in any way, shape, or form.  I think I'm gonna end up going to the doctor this week because I can not deal with something like this happening to me right now.  If a doctor does a blood test, maybe he'll know if something else is wrong.  The women in my family have had some really bad things happen with ovaries and menstruel cycles.  Every women in my family has has a hystorectomy before they were 45, and most before they were 40.  I am very concerned that something is wrong, but I was just hoping after I'd taken the htp's, they would show up negative and then the next day I'd start.  Not the case....yet.  Thanks for the input!  ANYMORE ADVICE IS VERY WELCOME.  I NEED REASSUREMENT RIGHT NOW:)

Have you had irregular periods in the past? When I was younger, my period came every 28 days. After awhile, my periods would come a few days late,a few days early.I think stress and hormone fluctuations played a part in it then. About 2 yrs. ago, I started having a period every 3 wks., then evey 2 wks. During a pap smear, I found out that I had cysts on my ovaries. Now a have a large growth in my right ovary. So I have to have my ovary removed. I would go ahead and see a dr. and possibly have a pap smear. Why keep stressing yourself out? If you are pregnant, the sooner you know, the better.Take care.
