Does anyone know if its possible to just stop having periods when you may be in perimenopause? I have always been regular except the 3 times I was pregnant. Never had any problems and have a regular 28day cycle. I have not had a period since January 1st. NOTHING. Im wondering if its normal? i took a pregnancy test and a menopause test last week and both were negative. I aslo had a complete blood panel done a few months ago and everthing was normal there too. I am 45 now and I do have symptoms of pregnancy but Im reading that the symptoms of pre-menopause is pretty much the same. Help!
Hi there and welcome. Aren't the 40's grand? LOL I'm a couple of years older than you. I'm actually experiencing heavier flow as I approach menapause which my doctor says is very typical. There was a time period in which I had very irregular periods and extremely long cycles---- around 3 months! My situation was related to my thyroid which was working too slow. I'd wait and see what happens.
Sorry you have to go through it. Honestly, it would be early at 45.
