2 periods in a month while on the birth control

I have been on the pill for 3 years. Never had any problem with my periods. This month I had my period normally, during my week's break from taking the pill. It started on 9/08 and finished on 13/08, when I started my new pack of pills again. Strangely, yesterday 21/08 my period came back. I never had 2 periods in the same month. I have been under stress lately, I though maybe this could have something to do with it. It scares me because the pill have always made my periods regular. Is this normal?
