+40 yrs old

My mom is 42 years old will have her period for a whole month. I know she could be going through menopause, but is there something out there to control it. Like right now she is on it and its so heavy that she will use up like 3 pads in less than 2 hours. I am really concerned because two weeks ago she had been vomitting and almost passed out on us. Plz I need some advice it scares me because that is my mom :(

She needs to see her ob-gyn and get a uterine MRI.  She might have a fibroid in her uterus that is near the cervix, or she might have something else, but she needs a clear diagnosis and she needs it now.  Also, until she gets in to see the doc she should be on iron tablets, a strong dose.  And since iron can be constipating, she should take a fiber gummy or a fiber drink every day too.
