6 week period

I am 49 years old.  My periods have always been like clock work.  Never missing one.  This last period I was 2 weeks  late starting.  Now I am going into the 6th week.   Non-stop and heavy blood clots.   Anyone else have this experience?

It sounds a bit like you have a fibroid near your cervix.  Call your ob-gyn and get an appointment.  In the meantime, take iron every day so you don't get anemic!  (ps -- When I take iron, I also take a fiber gummy in order not to be constipated from the iron.)  Good luck, fibroids (if that is what is doing this) are not serious, but I'd definitely take bleeding for 6 weeks as serious, not just because it is irritating but because you may need to have the fibroid taken out if it is doing this.

Are you saying that your period was 2 weeks late and then lasted for 6 weeks?
