9 weeks pregnant and slightly bleeding

Hello,

I am 9 weeks pregnant and having slight bleeding. I had a PAP smear done on Friday and I didn't start to bleed until yesterday. It started just as spotting but today it got a little heavier. It's not heavy enough to go through a pad in one day but it still causes some concern. I am having very little cramping; enough to make me uncomfortable. I did talk to my nurse today but all she said was to take it easy and if the bleeding gets worse to go the emergency room. Has anyone been through this and what was the cause? Should I be worried of miscarriage?

I went through the same exact thing. I did not call my doctor until 4 days later. He sent me in for an emergency sonogram and every thing was fine. Then three days later I had a miscarriage at 11 weeks. I would really listen to your nurse and take it real easy. Just be sure if the bleeding gets deep red and small clots that you need to call your doctor, and if it gets crampy and painful got to the ER. I wish you the best. I am sure you will be ifne
