A Cry for Normalcy!!

Okay, my body is going crazy! Why did AF come today after only 24 days??? :-( I had plans for this weekend!!! I got off birth control and this is my 2nd cycle off. The first one was 35 days and now this one is 24 days? From the max to the minimum.  My hair is falling out and my skin is breaking out. Ortho Tricyclen is addictive!!!

I cannot stand this irregularity!!!  How the heck do you chart ovulation when your body is doing what it wants??!!!  This BBT charting is new to me. I can hardly tell when I ovulated, maybe around 10/30, only 9-10 days ago? If so, why the heck is AF so anxious? I see that's gonna take some practice because I can hardly tell since there were two different rises in temps that weren't that steady. Maybe I never ovulated? Who knows!! I called myself learning my body now by charting because I'm not exactly TTC yet but this is scaring me for when the time comes to try.  Will prenatal pills help my skin and hair?

Sorry, for all the exclamation points, I just had to vent!! AAAARGH! --->off to find a PMS pill.

First off, I'm soooooo mad because we're still waiting on results.  I called my son this morning and he said they told him to call back at 4pm EST.  I looked at the website of the place and it said 48 hours from when the lab received it so that's a bunch of malarky. If it was me and I was allowed to call I'd be calling them every hour!!  But as soon as I hear anything I'll jump on here!

And yes, I'm 37 and I'm hoping this is not pre-menopausal symptoms. I was thinking about that too since I still want more kids.  I know it sounds crazy after my other two are both almost grown but I do.  Okay, 1 hour and 15 mins left.  I'll check in lata!!

Thanks!

My son just called me and I'm even more mad right now.  The stupid DNA place says we have to wait another day.  He said some bullcrap about the lab pulled it out for a random quality check and that causes a delay.  You know he caught me at the wrong time because I'm PMSing.  I told him that his website said 48 hours after receipt in the lab and it's ridiculous to have to wait since Friday!!  He said the paperwork they signed mentioned this and I told him that he needs to put it on his website instead of misleading everybody. I told him they probably were late sending it out and are covering for their mistake.  I'm so darn mad!!

Anybody ever heard of anything about quality checks like that? You know I'm wondering if they do a quality check on positive results just to make sure.  Hmmmmm

I'm going by memory here, I believe you are 37, right?  Anyhow, at that age you may be experience pre-menopausal symptoms.  My mom is 39 and she has been dealing with it since she was 35, I'm 24 and I hope I don't get them earlier than her.  It starts now as early as 30.  And as far as hair goes, there is a great multi-vitamin, also a plus for bones, here's the link  http://www.gnc.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2367696&cp=2522443.2510318&parentPage=family
It one of the best vitamins for hair growth, Biotin, as well as everything else you could need.  Start keeping close track of your cycles.  If you are TTC then you should really start concentrating on you ovulation dates.  And I'm on the edge of my seat waiting for the answer about your son.  I though for sure that I would be reading the results this morning.

I'm trying to get closer to finishing school first before ttc. I plan to finish in the spring but it doesn't matter if I was prego before then, I just don't want to be falling asleep in class because I'd probably be very lazy if I were LOL.

How about you, are you ttc? If you are, best of luck!!

And I promise, as soon as I hear anything in the morning I will rush here to post the results of the DNA test.  I had to bug my son to call tonight and he didn't want to because you know men hate to be a pest and need to learn how to be persistent LOL.  I don't care about bugging people, I told him to bug them like crazy until they tell you!! They said 2-3 business days and that's what it's been.

I've charted for about a year now, and it's nice to go back and look at what my body has been doing at this time, during previous months.  I always find the information and knowledge to be reassuring.  I'm sure your body is being wacky because your hormones are having to work on their own now. Thus explaining the late ovulation in month one and the early ovulation in month two!
Just think of how much time it took your body to adjust to being on the pill, and that's probably the same amount of time it will take to wean yourself off.  Are you TTC?
One more sleep, wow patty!!! What a wait.  Please let us, I know I'm not the only medhelp girl rootin' for you.

Thanks Shygirl!  My son called tonight about the results and they said they will call him in the morning. I was hoping to know by now but oh well.

Anyway, thanks for the motivation to not give up on the charting. I'm so used to being every 28 days that this irregularity freaks me out. This website really does help me out knowing people will provide you support when you need it.

Hi Patty, good for you for BBT'ing.  It will take a few months, and you will start to notice a pattern. Right now will be frustrating because you are so newly off the pill. If you period is on day 24 then it is very likely you did ovulate on day 9-10, so you are charting correctly.  Stick with it, and you will be very grateful for your little thermometer (at least I hope so). It's one thing I couldnt live without.

Any word back on your son's paternity test yet? I'm sure that does not help how frustrated you are feeling right now.
