A Red Ring?

This morning, I discovered a red ring on the inside of my left forearm.  It is about the size of a pencil eraser.  It it is not raised, or bumpy, or itchy, but smooth like regular skin.  It doesn't hurt either.  I haven't been bitten by a tick or any other insect, so I'm quite curious as to what this could be.

Any ideas??

Thanks.

I would guess insect bite. Some bites do cause the tell-tale target spot.
