A period for a extended amount of time...

I've had a period now for about 3 months. It's not heavy to where I need to wear a pad or tampon. It's just there. I am not getting cramps, bloating, fatigue or anything else. It's just the blood and sometimes blood clots as well. I'm not usually comfortable talking about this, so if anyone can give me advice on here, I would greatly appreciate it. Is it something serious? I was reading many of these forums, and it seems like many women have gone through something similar, please help!!

Thank you so much. I've been a vegetarian for a little over a year now. I had been reading up on similar situations to mine, MANY women said it was a hormonal imbalance. So, I did a little research on the vegetarian diet, and I realized I was not getting many vitamins & such that I needed, so I bought 6 different vitamins that I take daily, and within 3-4 days, it stopped. I was super relived. And thanks so much again!

Hello,
Since it has been months that you have been bleeding, it is best to get an evaluation done from a gynecologist as you need medicines like ethamsylate to stop the bleeding. Heavy bleeding can cause anemia. Hence get an urgent evaluation done.

Hello,
Your symptoms are suggestive of metromenorrhagia. . This may occur due to hormonal disturbances, endometrial disturbances, clotting disorders. It may be associated with abnormal painful bleeding which is termed dysmenorrhea. A blood loss of more than 80ml along with periods lasting longer than 7 days then it is considered abnormal and requires investigations and treatment depending upon the cause.
