Abdominal swelling/bloating

My abdomen swells starting under my breasts, to the point where I literally look 6 months pregnant.

I have a history of BC and worry about ovarian cancer - is this the typical presentation of bloating for ovarian cancer.  The swelling can last for days.

Any ideas of what to look for?

Bloating did seem unusual in that it was not the usual 'belly' bloating, it was upper abdominal predominantly and lasted about 3 - 4 days, no discomfort other than the distention.

I will follow up with my doctor.  Thank you so much for the reply.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hello,
Bloating can be due to overeating. Bloating as a result of over eating will go away once your body digests the food. It could be of concern if bloating is accompanied by symptoms of abdominal pain which gets worse, change in stool habit like constipation or diarrhea, abdominal lump, periods irregularity or heavy bleeding etc. In that case, it needs to be checked by a gynecologist.

It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
