Ablation 5 YRS ago and now late period caused by antidepressant meds?

I'm 44 YRS old. Had an ablation and tubes cauderized 5 years ago. I'm approx 7 days late and my breasts are so sore and tender and feel hard and swollen. I can't stand anything touching them. I started Amitriptyline about a month ago which I know is an antidepressant and a nerve blocker which is why I started taking it since I suffer from migraines. It is what my dr prescribed. Could this throw off my hormones and cause the late period and breast soreness? It's really unbareavle.

oh shoot.  I'm sorry.   Very few women have babies after having their tubes tied.  You could check into surgery to undo it??  I'm sorry hon.

Hi there.  It's very doubtful that you are pregnant.  You had permanent sterilization.  Unless scar tissue somehow formed a new tube, pregnancy isn't possible.  However, do go ahead and take a pregnancy test to be sure as 'occasionally' a tubal pregnancy can occur.  Extremely doubtful hon.  I wouldn't be worried about that.  I also don't think your new medication is to blame for these symptoms.  Now, as I get older--  close to 'the change' as you call it, I definitely have symptoms such as you describe.  I also get that tenderness of the breasts/nipple area at weird times.  Hormones are ever fluctuating---  and definitely new things pop up or the 'normal' is altered as time goes on.  Have you seen your ob/gyn any time lately?  Maybe it is time to visit to go over what you can expect and any concerns you have.  best of luck to you

I can't be pregnant right? Maybe I've started "the change"?
